Lane Tech vs. Maine South

By: Tyler Defibaugh
Manager, Content & Operations/Area Scout

Dodger Friedrich, RHP, Lane Tech, 2028
Uncommitted. Durable 6-foot-5, 215-pound frame. Got the ball to start for Lane Tech and showed to be one of the top arms in the freshman class. He has a simple delivery down the mound, while throwing from a low ¾ slot. His fastball was lively early, sitting 86-88 mph in the early stages of the game, before settling in at 83-85 mph. His go-to secondary was 71-76 mph slider that he could throw for strikes in any count. Friedrich filled the zone throughout his outing, throwing 47 of his 66 pitches for strikes (71% strikes), while working efficiently each inning. Line: 6 IP, 5 H, 1 BB, 4 R, 2 ER, 5 K. A young name to follow this spring.
