NO. 18 ST. JOSEPH-OGDEN VS. PLEASANT PLAINS

By: Gavin Smith
Manager, Content & Operations/Area Scout

Trevor Ames, RHP, St. Joseph-Ogden, 2026
Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 159 in the state’s junior class. Stands in an upside, 6-foot-2, 177-pound frame with plenty of room for added strength. Threw two innings in relief, struck out one, walked one and allowed two hits. Threw 37 pitches, 23 of those for strikes. Loose, free-and-easy mover with a long, clean arm path out of a high ¾ window. Fastball came out of the hand clean with slight arm-side action, sitting 83-86 mph. He also mixed in a curveball at 65-69 mph with 12/6 actions, sharp at times, and a change-up at 77-79 mph with fade, throwing it to a left-handed hitter. Also finished the day 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. An uncommitted name to know in Illinois’ junior class.
