Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 4 of the 2025 spring season. 

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

DJ Lowery OF / SS / knoxvillecatholic high school, TN / 2027 DJ Lowery (Knoxville Catholic, 2027) had a great week at the plate for the Irish going 9-16 with a triple, 2 HR’s and 12 RBI’s.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Porter Murff LHP / 1B / Clarksville, TN / 2026 Porter Murff (Clarksville, 2026) Porter earned 2 wins this week vs. Kirkwood and Fairview (AL) without giving up zero hits in 8.2 innings. He was also part of a combined no hitter vs. Fairview (AL) throwing 5 hitless innings. He would go on to collect 17 K’s in that span to just 4 walks.
