Heading out west to Christian County for Week 3's Pitcher of the Week Award with 2028 RHP Nolan Young! The youngster had himself yet another fantastic start on the mound, leading the Colonels to an eye-catching victory over #6 ranked South Warren High School. Young held the dangerous Spartan bats to just 5 H and 2 ER, striking out an impressive 9 hitters. The young righty has been making his presence known in the western part of the state, as Young has now recorded the win in both of his starts, which just so happen to be against two of the top-10 teams in the state. At just 5'10" 150lbs and with a max fastball velocity of just 75mph, Young proves it doesn't take insane velocity to succeed on the mound. The freshman RHP has had one of the best possible starts to a varsity career, a reflection of Head Coach Cole Isom's developmental influence.
