2025 Spring Team Preview: Chardon Hilltoppers

Team Name: Chardon Hilltoppers
Head Coach: Bob Francis
Division: III
2024 Record: 15-13
2024 Tourney Finish: Sectional Finals loss to Dover
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 5/2

Coach Outlook: "One of the reasons that we are excited about 2025 is because the roster is full of baseball players who love to play the game and who will bring a 'dirtbag' mentality to the team culture. We expect a great deal of competition for varsity spots, both in the position spots and in the pitching rotation."

Jayden Buth- 2026 / 5'11" / 175 / .197 / OF- Crnr INF / PBR rank 46 in OF / All-conference football player as well / Can bring some power to the plate to contribute to our offense
Kyle McCoy- 2025 / P-CRNR INF / 5'9" / 180 / .271 / 4.5 ERA / 26 K's in 9 appearances/ Adrian College commit / Worked through injury junior campaign with his toughness / Can contribute with his leadership and in the front end of the rotation this year
Tim Robertson / 2027 / 5'10" / 150 / P-OF / 3.34 ERA / 23 K's / Earned a varsity letter as a freshmen and a spot in our pitching rotation / Excellent live arm / Will work to contribute both in the rotation & at a position.
Ty Roediger- / 5'10" / 180 / 2026 / CF / .307 / .773 OPS / WRC All-Academic / Well-rounded player who can run, field, and hit / Led team in stolen bases w/ only 2 CS
Justin Smith: Jr. / 5'8" / 160 / MID INF / .250 / Excellent glove in the middle infield / High baseball IQ / Well-rounded baseball skills
Chad Prince- 2025 / 6' / 180 / 1B / 1.000 fielding percentage in 2024 / Gold Glove Team Award Winner / Provides a middle infield caliber glove to the 1B position / His skill at 1B allowed our other infielders to play at a different level due to their confidence in his glove.

Tyler Noerr: 6'4" / 225 / P-1B / 2025 / Has potential to have an outstanding senior season after missing junior campaign due to injury.
Kyle McCoy
Dominic Sintic- Sr / 5'7" / 170 / C-OF / .304 ave / .855 OPS / Senior addition to our team who will offer versatility to our lineup in 2025
