Each week during the high school season, we will be announcing the Mizuno Pitcher and Player of the Week for that particular week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on nominations from high school coaches across the state. Thanks to Mizuno for sponsoring both awards this season.

Let's take a look at the Mizuno Player and Pitcher of the Week for Week 6 of the 2025 spring season. 

 

MIZUNO PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Alex Bedford OF / Lawrence County High School , TN / 2025 The Tennessee signee had a strong week at the plate where he batted .750 over a four game span. Bedford would collect 9 hits on the week that included 2 triples, 3 HR's, while also walking 6 times for a 2.2667 OPS.

 

MIZUNO PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Patrick Freeman RHP / SS / Oakland, TN / 2026 Facing district opponent Blackman, Freeman would throw an 8 inning No-Hitter with 15 K's, while just allowing two walks in a 1-0 win. The Belmont commit has had a strong start to his junior season and looks like he had commanded increased pitchability.
