The Arkansas high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 3, opening day for regular season action under AAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Arkansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Head Coach: Brandon Brewer (2 years)
Classification: 5A
2025 SEASON OUTLOOK
No. of Returning Position Players: 5
No. of Returning Pitchers: 2
Top Returners:
- P Mason Moore (2025)
- Mason logged a lot of innings and brings back much needed experience on the mound.
- OF Zack Zitzmann (2025)
- Zack is a dual sport athlete and is one of the better defensive centerfielders in the conference.
- C Ty Holt (2027)
- Tons of feel and leadership as a sophomore. Plays with high energy and understands the game at a very high level.
Top Newcomers:
- UTL Jayden Campbell (2028)
- Jayden has done well this preseason at finding barrels
- 3B/P Cooper Webb (2027)
- Cooper will be our everyday 3B and closer. Very tall and the frame is there for him to have an exciting future
- P Caden Mendenhall (2028)
- Cayden has the stuff that will help us win games down the stretch. We expect him to log some innings for us as a freshman.
Key Players Lost:
- Brady Pettigrew
- Austin Mitchell
- Grant Karnes
Coach’s Insight: “The staple of our program is the ability to throw strikes and field the baseball. We should be able to play defense at a high level this year. Also I think our toughness and desire to compete will help us this year. Our weakness comes offensively. We are not built around extra base hit guys. We have a little speed but will need to cut down our strikeouts to compete with the big boys.” – Brandon Brewer, head coach
