The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season, and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Florida.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the FHSAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Florida. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and releasing our preseason top-25 rankings in the state.

Each week, we will be releasing our Players of the Week, as well as updating our Power 25 overall rankings.

Classification: 7A
2025 Record (Finish): 30-4 District Champions, lost in 9th inning of 3rd game of regional finals (Top 10 team in state last year, so much talent and experience, nothing went our way in regional finals, lost to a good Hagerty team, but fought hard.)

Jordan Livingston- Sr, RHP, Jacksonville Univ Commit, was our #2 last year and went 10-0
Cooper West- Sr LHP, Gulf Coast state commit, expected to slide in as a starter
Mason Sanders- SR- CF- Gulf Coast State Commit, started in OF last year, will be CF this year
Justin Cronin- JR- Started at 3rd base as a Soph, great all-around player
Seamus Moylan- Mizzou commit, Jr, C, Started since he was a freshman, one of our leaders

Evan Dyett- JR LHP- Been up to 91, Committed to University of South Carolina
Collin Strickland- JR OF- Middle of the order bat, committed to ARMY
Logan Hill- JR- MIF/P, mid 80's guy that can really pitch and defend
Jathan Dehaven, Gavin Rape, Ryder Ritch, Luke Loeb, Morgan Corder, Drake Massey, Deacon Massey, all very talented Juniors that will be college players...

TEAM OUTLOOK

Projected Starting 9: Justin Cronin 3B, Mason Sanders CF, Morgan Corder 1B, Seamus Moylan C, Drake Massey DH, Collin Strickland LF, Luke Loeb RF, Jathan DeHaven/Gavin Rape SS, Logan Hill 2B, Also Sr. Jayden Medel at 1B and DH
Projected Pitching Staff: There are 2 for sure: Livingston and West, The third starter will be between Dyett, Deacon Massey (6'4 RHP up to 88), and Logan Hill
Team Strengths: Depth and Pitching Depth

“Our Jr. Class is loaded, but most of them played JV for two years (went 44-1) because of the depth of our program. The schedule is very hard on purpose so they can experience the level they need to get to so we can contend for a state title again. Our SRs did a good job of leading in the fall, so the culture is good, just a matter of how we handle pressure and expectations. Hopefully the experience pays off in the playoffs and next year. 8 of our top 10 position players are Jrs, and 4 of our top 6 arms are as well. ” – Matt Cleveland, head coach
