The 2026 Florida Preseason All-State took place on Sunday, January 4, at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. The event featured players from the 2026-2029 classes participating in a pro-style workout, followed by bullpens in front of the Prep Baseball Florida Scouting Staff.

Today we will highlight the top hitters in attendance with quick notes and video.

Joshua Abrahante OF / 3B / Alonso High School, FL / 2027

Abrahante showcased an athletic 6-0, 175-pound frame running a 6.95 60 while registering a 97 max EV. Swing is loose, quick, and direct to the zone with a simple leg lift trigger, good lower-half drive, and a level path that produces consistent hard contact to all fields. Abrahante displays fluid, projectable actions in the outfield with an accurate arm up to 89 mph.

Nolan Alford SS / 2B / Franklin County School, FL / 2026

Alford, a Chipola commit, registered a 94 max EV, strong rotational acceleration (19g), and a max batted ball distance of 358 feet. He is quick and direct to the ball with a level path and emerging pull-side power that projects for more as he adds strength.

Shaurya Bhosale SS / 2B / Hagerty, FL / 2028

Compact 5-7, 167-pound frame, posting a 94 max exit velocity, strong arm at 89 mph across the infield, and an improving 7.11 60 time. He has quick hands, good rotational acceleration (17g), and a direct path that stays on plane well, producing consistent hard contact and gap power with room to grow.

Matt Bowser SS / 3B / Calvary Christian, FL / 2027

6-0, 173-pound frame, 6.94 60, and a 95 max EV. Switch-hitter with quick hands and strong rotational acceleration (21g) that generates consistent hard contact and gap power from both sides, with plenty of projection remaining. Bowser shows versatility defensively with projectable actions up the middle.

Alejandro Cabral OF / SS / North Broward Preparatory School, FL / 2027

A dynamic athlete at 5-10, 180-pound frame, ran a 6.74 60-yard dash. He had a 99 mph max EV and showcased elite bat speed (78.3 mph avg) and rotational acceleration (20g). His swing is explosive with the ability to drive the ball with authority, producing consistent hard contact and carry.

Jayden Cedeno OF / 1B / True North Classical Academy, FL / 2027

Cedeno was one of the most impressive players in attendance. 5-11, 174-pound frame, running a swift 6.94-second 60-yard dash and posting a 101 exit velocity. Balanced and compact swing with quick hands that produce consistent hard, gap-to-gap contact with emerging power. Smooth, rhythmic approach at the plate. 

Kendell Charlery OF / 1B / Bishop Verot, FL / 2028

Charlery showed intriguing tools at Preseason All-State with a compact 5-9, 167-pound frame. 92 mph EV and elite rotational acceleration (35g—top-tier for the event). Quick hands (26 mph peak hand speed) and a whippy barrel path that produces hard, elevated contact with significant projection as he matures physically.

Preston Cole SS / 2B / St Johns Country Day, FL / 2027

East Carolina commit. Stood out at PAS with his athletic 6-1, 178-pound frame, elite speed (6.68-second 60-yard dash), a 99 mph max exit velocity, and a strong arm peaking at 101 mph from the outfield. Swing is advanced and explosive, featuring elite bat speed (75.7 mph avg), quick hands (24 mph peak), and rotational power that drives balls up to 378 feet with carry and authority. Cole displays smooth, projectable defensive actions up the middle with range and arm strength, paired with a rhythmic, powerful barrel that produces loud, gap-to-gap contact.

Ashton Cox OF / LHP / Northside Christian, FL / 2027

Cox posted a 95 mph max EV and a strong 87 mph outfield velocity. The swing is quick, direct, and balanced with good on-plane efficiency and an uphill path that produces consistent hard, elevated contact with gap power. Cox displays rhythmic timing, loose hands, and easy barrel whip through the zone, spraying line drives and fly balls with carry.

Jayden Cunningham 1B / OF / South Walton, FL / 2027

Cunningham brings a physical 6-4, 208-pound frame and big raw power to the plate, evidenced by a 103 mph max exit velocity, elite bat speed (74.5 mph avg), and a max batted ball distance of 377 feet. The swing is strong and uphill with quick hands, present rotational pop, and the ability to drive balls with carry and authority, projecting for power. 

Damon Desrochers 3B / 1B / North Broward Preparatory School, FL / 2028

Strong, physical 5-11, 197-pound frame and big raw power launching a 102 mph max exit velocity, and a max distance of 366 feet. Desrochers displays a simple, athletic setup with strong rotational acceleration (18g) and loud barrels.

Kingston Ebanks LHP / OF / Olympia High, FL / 2027

Ebanks brings intriguing athleticism and tools to the table with a lean 5-10, 170-pound frame, running a 7.02 60 while touching 94 mph exit velocity and 88 mph from the outfield. Crew Elrod C / 1B / IMG Academy, FL / 2029

Elrod brings an advanced physical presence with a 6-2, 228-pound frame, posting a 96 mph max EV, strong on-plane efficiency (76%), and a max batted ball distance of 358 feet. Lucas Farrar SS / RHP / Berkeley Prep, FL / 2027

Lean, athletic 6-0, 180-pound frame. 96 mph max EV and elite arm strength up to 96 mph from the outfield and 88 mph across the infield. Rhythmic and leveraged offensively with a wide setup, level-to-uphill path, and consistent hard contact that produces gap power and projects for more impact as he continued to add strength. Farrar displays smooth defensive actions at shortstop and a quick release with carry on throws.

Mason Frey 1B / OF / Jesuit, FL / 2029

Projectable 6-0, 178-pound frame, posting a 91 mph max exit velocity. Frey displays an athletic setup, rhythmic timing, and easy barrel control. Swing is simple and direct with a short path, stays on plane, and has emerging strength that produces consistent hard contact and gap potential.

Clayton Gerrell C / OF / South Walton, FL / 2028

Compact 5-11, 168-pound frame. Behind the plate, Gerrell displayed advanced receiving and blocking actions with pop times ranging 1.94-2.01 and a 77 mph catcher velocity, paired with an 89 mph outfield arm. He posted a 94 max EV.

Boston Hanna OF / 3B / Gulf Breeze High School, FL / 2027

Hanna delivered one of the loudest performances at the Florida Preseason All-State with his athletic 5-11, 176-pound frame, posting a 100 mph max exit velocity, a max batted ball distance of 384 feet, and elite grip strength (over 172 lbs right hand). Swing is strong, explosive, and intent-driven with solid bat speed, good rotational acceleration (16g), and pull-side authority that produces hard, elevated contact and present power. Hanna shows controlled violence at the plate with rhythmic timing, heavy barrels, and loud impact.

Nolan Hartley SS / 3B / Wesley Chapel High School, FL / 2027

Dayton recruit. Athletic 5-10, 179-pound frame with advanced barrel control. 94 mph max exit velocity, elite rotational acceleration (27g), and elevated contact with carry (67% fly balls, max distance 355 feet). Hartley displays rhythmic timing, a direct path, and loud gap-to-gap barrels.

William Hoblitzell OF / RHP / Steinbrenner High School, FL / 2027

6-0, 192-pound frame, posted a 95 mph max exit velocity, solid bat speed (71.1 mph avg), and an 88 mph outfield velocity. Hoblitzell displays an athletic, balanced approach with barrel feel and opposite-field authority. Quick hands (21 mph peak), and a leveraged path that drives elevated contact with present gap power.

Tavis Honeycutt 3B / 1B / Newberry, FL / 2027

Honeycutt, a Florida commit, brought one of the most imposing physical profiles to the Florida Preseason All-State with a massive 6-4, 281-pound frame, posting an event-best 107 mph max exit velocity and a max batted ball distance of 396 feet. His swing is short, violent, and extremely powerful, featuring elite bat speed (81.5 mph avg), quick hands (25 mph peak hand speed) that translate raw strength into loud, elevated contact with raw power potential.

Damin Hwang C / 3B / TNXL Academy, FL / 2028

Hwang has a projectable 6-0, 202-pound frame, posting a 95 mph max EV, solid bat speed, and quick pop times ranging 1.96-2.08 with a 73 mph catcher velocity. A switch-hitter with smooth, direct swings from both sides with good barrel feel, an uphill path for lift, and consistent hard contact that produces gap power.

JD James OF / RHP / Cardinal Mooney, FL / 2027

Athletic 6-2, 161-pound frame with explosive tools, running 7.00 60 while posting a 96 mph max exit velocity, excellent on-plane efficiency (79%), and a max batted ball distance of 363 feet. His swing is loose, quick, and direct with solid bat speed, good rotational acceleration (15g), and an uphill path that produces consistent hard, elevated contact with gap power and significant projection as he adds strength. Athletic 6-1, 167-pound frame, above average speed (6.89-second 60-yard dash), and strong arm up to 89 mph across the infield. Jessurun displays smooth, rhythmic actions at the plate with barrel control and projectable gap power, with fluid defensive tools and range up the middle.

Mason Johnson OF / 2B / Bloomingdale High School, FL / 2027

Lean 6-0, 160-pound frame, ran an elite 6.57 60-yard dash while posting a 97 mph EV and strong bat speed (71.4 mph avg). Johnson shows an advanced approach with barrel feel and line-drive production, pairing speed and a solid arm.

Noah Kiefer 2B / RHP / Canterbury School, FL / 2027

Advanced left-handed bat posting a 98 mph max exit velocity, solid bat speed (71.9 mph avg), and a steep attack angle that drives elevated contact with carry (max distance 363 feet). Swing is quick, twitchy, and direct with strong rotational acceleration (18g), excellent on-plane efficiency (73%), and consistent hard barrels that produce line drives and fly balls to all fields.

Fletcher King OF / 1B / IMG Academy, FL / 2028

Imposing physical presence with a 6-3, 238-pound frame. 101 mph max exit velocity and a max distance of 375 feet. King displays easy rhythm, strong lower-half drive, and loud barrels to the pull side. He has present gap-to-gap authority and significant raw power projection.

Christian Kirtland OF / RHP / Windermere, FL / 2028

Highly projectable 6-4, 178-pound frame. 96 max EV, solid rotational acceleration (17g), and an 84 mph outfield velocity. Swing is smooth and leveraged with long levers, quick hands, and an uphill path that produces elevated contact and emerging power.

Ace Loftus OF / 1B / IMG Academy, FL / 2029

Loftus showed impressive raw tools for a young prospect with a projectable 6-3, 191-pound frame, posting a 93 mph max exit velocity. He displays an athletic setup, rhythmic timing, and easy barrel feel for his age and has good rotational acceleration and the ability to drive elevated contact.

Angel Z Medina SS / 3B / Harmony High School, FL / 2026

6-0, 181-pound frame. 97 mph max EV and a max distance of 379 feet. Switch-hitter with a short, quick swing from both sides with solid bat speed and an uphill path that produces consistent elevated contact and fly-ball authority (65% FB rate). Strong arm up to 91 across the infield.

Brayden Miller SS / 2B / Stoneman Douglas, FL / 2027

Miller showcased his athletic 5-10, 160-pound frame and advanced feel for the barrel. 92 mph max exit velocity with elite on-plane efficiency (88%) with consistent hard contact. Miller displays smooth rhythm, excellent barrel control, and gap-to-gap authority.

Eisler Piloto 3B / Miami Springs Senior High School, FL / 2028

Piloto, a switch-hitting third baseman, stood out at Preseason All-State with his physical 5-11, 194-pound frame, a 101 mph max exit velocity, a max batted ball distance of 377 feet, and strong on-plane efficiency (79%). He showed advanced bat-to-ball skills from both sides, featuring easy bat speed (70.6 mph avg), good rotational acceleration (14g). Piloto showed a mature, balanced swing with whippy barrel actions and loud impact.

Elijah Prisciandaro OF / RHP / TNXL Academy, FL / 2028

Prisciandaro brought an advanced physical profile to the Florida Preseason All-State with a strong 5-10, 183-pound frame, posting a 100 mph max exit velocity, solid bat speed (72.9 mph avg), and a max batted ball distance of 373 feet. He also showed premium arm strength up to 95 from the OF.

MJ Prisco OF / RHP / Palmetto, FL / 2029

Compact 5-9, 160-pound frame that continues to mature. 95 mph EV with a max batted ball distance of 360 feet. Above average arm in the OF up to 86. The swing is short, direct, and leveraged with quick hands (20 mph peak hand speed), and the ability to drive elevated contact (60% fly balls) with emerging power.

Marcos Rodriguez SS / OF / G. Holmes Braddock Senior High, FL / 2028

Rodriguez showcased his dynamic athleticism at PAS with a compact 5-8, 167-pound frame, running a 6.92 60-yard dash while reaching a 96 mph max exit velo and a strong 87 mph outfield velo. Rodriguez displays smooth, fluid defensive actions with range at shortstop and in the outfield, a quick release, and carry on throws. Rodriguez has a balanced path that produces consistent hard contact and gap power.

Rhys Rosh 3B / RHP / IMG Academy, FL / 2029

Strong 6-1, 221-pound frame. 98 mph max EV, above average bat speed (73.7 mph avg), and solid rotational acceleration (16g). Swing is short and powerful with quick hands (22 mph peak), and consistent hard line-drive contact (67% line drives) that produces gap authority and emerging power.

Mason Ryder C / 3B / Jupiter, FL / 2028

Ryder displayed advanced pop times ranging 1.87-2.00 with a 78 mph catcher velo, showing quiet receiving actions and a strong arm. 97 mph max exit velocity, solid bat speed (71.5 mph avg), and strong rotational acceleration (17g).

Ethan Savinon 3B / RHP / Jefferson, FL / 2027

Physical 6-0, 207-pound frame with premium arm strength. 94 mph infield velocity, and touching 90 mph on the mound. Savinon displays easy juice at the plate with loud barrels and pull-side authority. 97 EV.

Dylan Sorensen RHP / 3B / Braden River High School, FL / 2027

Sorensen showed a well-rounded skill set at Preseason All-State with an athletic 5-10, 172-pound frame. 93 mph max exit velocity and a strong 91 mph infield velocity. Swing is compact and direct with solid bat speed and consistent hard contact that produces gap authority.

Zach Spadorcia OF / RHP / Osceola Fundamental, FL / 2027

Spadorcia flashed premium athleticism and tools with a 5-8, 173-pound frame, running a 6.69 60 and having a 94 mph max exit velo and an 87 mph OF velo. His swing is quick and explosive with solid bat speed (72.1 mph avg), strong rotational acceleration (20g), and excellent on-plane efficiency (77%).

Easton Stegbauer C / 1B / Osceola Fundamental, FL / 2027

Projectable 6-2, 187-pound frame. Had a strong overall performance posting a 99 mph max exit velocity, elite grip strength (174.5 lbs left hand), and a max batted ball distance of 354 feet. Behind the plate, Stegbauer showed premium arm strength with pop times ranging from 1.86-1.94, and a 80 mph catcher velocity.

Collin Strickland OF / OF / Spruce Creek High School, FL / 2027

Army recruit. Strickland displays rhythmic timing, easy barrel whip, and loud carry to the pull side. Strickland got up to 100 mph max EV, with solid bat speed (70.8 mph avg), and a max distance of 389 feet.

Kanin Summey 1B / LHP / Calvary Christian, FL / 2028

Projectable 6-3, 202 lb frame. 95 mph max exit velo at a max batted ball distance of 372 feet. Swing shows the ability to drive elevated contact with present gap power.

Evan Swope SS / C / Jesuit, FL / 2028

Athletic 5-10, 180-pound frame. Posted a 97 mph max exit velocity, strong rotational acceleration (20g), and an 85 mph infield velocity. Swope displays rhythmic timing, loud barrels, and barrel control.

Chaz Templeton C / OF / Braden River, FL / 2027

Templeton showcased his athletic 5-9, 173-pound frame and strong defensive tools at Preseason All-State with quick pop times ranging 1.89-1.94 with a 76 mph catcher velo. Templeton displays quiet receiving actions, clean transfers, and a quick release behind the plate. Offensively, the swing is compact and direct with solid bat speed.

Carson Wheatley LHP / OF / Pasco, FL / 2028

Projectable two-way with a 6-2, 178-pound frame and premium bat speed. He showcased a 100 mph max EV, elite bat speed (75.6 mph avg), and a max batted ball distance of 382 feet. The swing is explosive with quick hands (24 mph peak hand speed) and strong rotational acceleration (16g) that drives hard contact with present pull-side power. Defensively has a loose arm action with an 88 mph outfield velo.

Sebastian Wilson OF / IMG Academy, FL / 2027

The Tennessee recruit and 2025 All-American delivered one of the top all-around performances at the Florida Preseason All-State with his athletic 6-0, 190-pound frame, running an elite 6.55 60 with a 100 mph max exit velo and a max batted ball distance of 378 feet. Wilson displays rhythmic timing, strong lower-half drive, and loud barrels with carry—pairing his speed, a strong arm (90 mph OF velo), and projectable center-field actions to profile as a premium, toolsy outfielder with considerable impact potential for the Volunteers.

Dylan Zack SS / 2B / Foundation Academy, FL / 2027

Athletic 5-11, 168-pound frame with quick-twitch actions. Zack displays rhythmic timing, barrel control, and loud line-drive/fly-ball production to the middle of the field—pairing fluid defensive actions and range up the middle. His swing is short and direct, producing a 90 mph max EV.

Jovani Zara C / 3B / Miami Springs Senior High School, FL / 2027

Athletic 6-0, 180-pound frame. 97 mph max exit velo, solid bat speed (70.2 mph avg), and consistent hard line-drive contact. Behind the plate, Zara displayed advanced arm strength and transfer skills with pop times ranging 1.96-2.00 and a 79 mph catcher velocity.
