Carson Steingall RHP / 1B / Nazareth Area, PA / 2028

The Pennsylvania product made the stop across the border into New Jersey for the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games and was a standout player at the event. This 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed pitcher was dominant in his 2 innings of work racking up a dozen swings and misses. His fastball was 87-91 mph and peaked at 92 mph with up to a 2,400-rpm spin rate. He induced whiffs with his slider at 75-77 mph and his changeup 77-81 mph and Steingall flashed the ability to throw it against right-handed hitters. Steingall showed an easy, athletic operation with a fastball that jumps out of the hand and plays well at the top of the zone. His secondary stuff flashed shape, and the overall delivery suggests there’s plenty more velocity and polish coming as he continues to mature.

Michael Alberto C / OF / Bergen Catholic, NJ / 2028

The number 3 catcher in New Jersey’s updated 2028 class rankings was a standout performer in the showcase and gameplay portion of the event. Alberto is a physical catcher with a strong 5-foot-8 and 190-pound and is an efficient mover behind the plate. Defensively, he flashed an arm strength of 80 mph and a pop time of 1.89-1.90 with minimal movements. His swing is a quick, direct path to the baseball that produces line drives to all fields, including a backside single in gameplay. Alberto can also produce some thump at the plate with exit velocities up to 96.6 mph.

Quinn Barron SS / RHP / Morristown, NJ / 2028

The Morristown High School product is NJ’s number 3 short stop in its 2028 class and he proved why. Barron has a lean, athletic build of 5-foot-10 and 166-pounds with noticeable athleticism shown from his 7.01 sixty-yard dash time. The shortstop flashed his strength with some upper 80s mph throw across the diamond. Offensively, he improved his exit velocity with a 94.9 mph EV and carried that momentum into gameplay where he hit a double into right field off a top 2 arm of the entire event. Barron is a gamer to keep an eye on moving forward.

Will Meehan LHP / 1B / Raritan, NJ / 2026

The recent Boston College commit was uncommitted when he attended the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games and Meehan showcased why he belonged at a power four conference. He is a 6-foot-3, 185-pound left-handed pitcher that attacked the strike zone with his three-pitch arsenal. Meehan flashed a fastball that sat 85-88 mph and topped 89 mph with 18 inches of induced vertical break. His curveball was 73-76 mph and was spun up to 2,500 rpm with 18 inches of horizontal movement.

Adam Chickletts SS / RHP / Lenape, NJ / 2027

Chickletts put together one of the more well‑rounded performances at the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games. The South Jersey product flashed some of the event’s best defensive actions, turning in a smooth, confident round at shortstop. At the plate, he generated a 93.1 mph exit velocity from a relaxed, upright setup and showed the ability to drive the ball to all fields. In game action, he demonstrated mature plate discipline with quality takes and produced firm contact, including a single to left that he turned into a hustle double with his aggressive instincts on the bases.

Eddie Mitchell C / Lenape, NJ / 2028

Mitchell is the number 1 catcher and the 10th overall prospect in New Jersey’s updated class of 2028 rankings, and he showcased why at the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games. He is productive defensively and offensively at high-level with consistency. His pop-time has been as low as 1.83-1.93 with arm strength up to 80 mph. What sets Mitchell apart is his ability to receive the baseball and steal strikes for his pitcher. Offensively, he made multiple loud, unlucky outs during gameplay while taking controlled but aggressive swings. During the showcase portion he peaked at a 99.1 mph exit velocity with a max distance of 357 feet which ranked him in the top five of both metrics.

Grayson Langsdorf SS / 2B / Morristown, NJ / 2028

Langsdorf was one of the clear standouts at the NJ Fall Top Prospect Games, showing well both in batting practice and in live action. The 6-foot, 176-pound left-handed hitting middle infielder has already posted advanced offensive metrics, including a 99.5 mph exit velocity and a max distance of 363 feet. He showcased a gap-to-gap, line‑drive approach with the ability to lift the baseball to the pull side when he wanted to. He worked comfortably at 85–88 mph and paired it with a 75–78 mph slider. The fastball played well at the top of the zone, generating both takes and swing‑and‑miss, while the slider served as a true put‑away offering. This emerging arm out of the Garden State is firmly on the radar.
