McCabe is a two-way talent that looks to take a jump heading into his sophomore year. The Moorestown High School product is coming off a freshman year full of valuable experience and reps that will help aid in his development into next season. He is a 5-foot-11, 168-pound outfielder/left-handed pitcher with a frame that has room growth as he physically develops. 

On the mound, the left-handed pitcher is a strike thrower that has a traditional three pitch mix of a fastball, curveball, and changeup. McCabe has shown a loose, fast moving arm action that looks to unlock more velocity. His fastball is 80-81 mph with over 20 inches of induced vertical break. His curveball is 66-69 mph, and the changeup is 71-73 mph. This high school season he produced a 1.31 ERA through 16 innings pitched with 4 walks and 16 strikeouts. He has also flashed an 85-mph arm strength from the outfield, showing his arm strength potential from the mound.

Offensively, he hits from the left side with a smooth stroke that produces gap-to-gap line drives. He has flashed an 89.6 mph exit velocity with a sweet-spot percentage of 83 percent and a max distance of 317 feet. Mechanically, he rocks into his backside with a slight leg lift and controls his forward move and lands softly into a base that is a little wider than his shoulder width. His swing can cover the inner half of the plate alongside having enough extension through the ball and utilizing the entire field.

Overall, McCabe is a promising two‑way talent coming off a valuable freshman campaign, showing both physical projection and polish on the mound and at the plate.
