The winter schedule has come to a close as the season has gotten underway across the State over the past weekend. Prior the 2025 season getting underway, our staff ran through our Preseason Scheduled that featured four events, highlighted by the Upperclass and Underclass Preseason All-State events that featured top prospects within their respective classes.

Our staff had eyes on over 250 players during the month's of January and February and our staff will continue to break it all down over the next month. With all of the talent that came through our showcases over the past two months, our we will begin spotlighting top uncommitted prospects who ran through our workout ahead of the high school season.

We continue our Top Uncommitted Sophomore Spotlight Series with a look at '27 3B Tre Hallberg of Desert Ridge HS who continues to flash some big power and stood out amongst top talent at the Underclass Preseason All-State in January.

Scouting Report

2/03/25

Tre Hallberg, a 2027 graduate out of Desert Ridge High School, continues to establish himself as one of the top power bats in his class. After posting an impressive 101.9 mph exit velocity at the Preseason All-State event, Hallberg put on a show at the Mesa Preseason ID, launching multiple balls over the left field wall during BP—one even landing on the softball field beyond the fence. His ability to drive the baseball with authority makes him a key offensive weapon for Desert Ridge. Expect Hallberg to play a major role in the team’s success over the next three seasons as one of their top run producers.

Tre Hallberg, an infielder from Desert Ridge High School, showcased his impressive skills during the Summer Mesa ID. His defensive prowess was evident with clean actions up the middle and a reliable glove, demonstrating smooth fielding mechanics and a strong arm. However, the most notable aspect of Hallberg's performance was his raw power at the plate. As an incoming sophomore, he achieved an impressive 104.2 mph exit velocity during batting practice. Utilizing a high leg lift and a quick, flat swing path with a high finish, Hallberg consistently produced a line drive to flyball profile, indicating significant power potential and an ability to drive the ball deep into the outfield. His combination of defensive reliability and offensive power makes him a promising prospect to watch in the coming high school seasons.
