Orange County Summer ID: Outfielder Analysis

On June 4th, the Prep Baseball California team hosted the Orange County Summer ID at Hart Park in Orange, Cal. This was an open event for high school classes (2026-29), and gave our staff an ample look at the area's top prospects.

38 players made their way to Hart Park and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

Today, we will be looking at all of the outfielder’s scouting reports:

TOP OUTFIELD

1. Marcus Blanton, Norco High (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: OF Physical player with present bat speed and arm strength that carries from the outfield.
Body: 5-10, 172.6 pounds. Strong and athletic, good proportions.
Hit: RHH. Hands at shoulders with a bat waggle. Slightly open with a quiet stride that finishes closed off. Looks to lift the ball. Heavy barrel. 67.7 mph bat speed with 17g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 97 mph max exit velocity (84.8 avg.); 352-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 87.00 mph. Full action. Quick arm. Possesses carry to the bag.
Defense: Slow and controlled, charging the ball, shuffles into the throw.
