Prep Baseball Wisconsin Best of 2025: Top Average Hand Speed

With our 2026 event calendar on the horizon, our staff has dedicated some time to reflect on the top statistical performers that we saw at our events in 2025. We'll be shining some light on Wisconsin natives who put up loud numbers in 2025, showcasing their tools to our staff at Prep Baseball Wisconsin events.
These leaderboards were compiled solely based on numbers at our state events, including Super 60, Preseason IDs, All-States, Open events, Future Games, and the All-American Game, too.

Yesterday, we broke down our 2025 event leaderboards with the top hard hit percentage. Today we will look at the top average hand speed from 2025.
By the numbers breakdown:
- 32 prospects had an average hand speed over 23 mph across four grad classes.
- 10 2026 prospects had an average hand speed over 23 mph.
- 17 2027 prospects had an average hand speed over 23 mph.
- 3 2028 prospects had an average hand speed over 23 mph.
AVERAGE HAND SPEED
Per Blast Connect: The typical Peak Hand Speed depends on age, strength, bat length and weight, experience level, and swing style. The observed speed as measured on the handle of the bat (measured six inches from the knob of the bat). Peak Hand Speed will occur prior to the moment of impact, very close to the commit time in the swing when the wrists unhinge.
