Welcome to the WIAA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger and on X, as well as through websites like Bound and MaxPreps. Falls traveled to Westosha to open its season and the bats were hot straight away, as the Phoenix scored all of its runs in the first two innings of the ballgame. Logan Vande Zande launched a two-run homer to left just three batters into the game that helped set the tone. In the second frame, Tyson Resch's bases-loaded double scored two more runs, giving Falls an early 6-0 lead at the time. Cail Geiger took the ball for Falls and was dominant over his five innings of work, allowing just one run on one hit, four walks, with five Ks. Resch relieved him in the sixth and allowed two unearned runs on two hits, one walk, and he struck out another four batters. Vande Zande and Cade Kosnick eached recoreded two hits for the Phoenix. For Westosha, Jackson Bline was 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

The Milton Red Hawks combined dominant pitching with consistent offense to shut out the Badgers 10-0 on Tuesday. Sophomore starter Ben Schultz earned the victory for Milton, striking out nine batters over five scoreless innings while scattering just four hits and two walks. Landon Schwarz tossed two scoreless innings in relief, striking out three to seal the shutout. Senior SS Jake Cummins paced the Red Hawks at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double, three stolen bases, and four RBIs, including a two-run single that capped a three-run seventh inning. RF Easton Agnew also drove in a pair of runs on two hits for Milton. LF Logan Levitt and 2B Ryan Albanese were the bright spots for Badger, each collecting two hits in the loss.

Oak Creek dropped a pair of tightly contested matchups to Kentucky's West Jessamine Colts on Tuesday, falling 2-1 in the opener and 4-3 in the nightcap.
In the first game, starter Jayden Pryor delivered a strong performance for Oak Creek, yielding just two earned runs on five hits over five innings. However, West Jessamine's Tyler Giles was equally impressive, tossing six scoreless innings with six strikeouts to earn the victory. SS/RHP Hayden Peters paced the Colts' offense by going a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI triple, and later struck out the side in the seventh inning to record the save. Peters' relief appearance halted a late Knights rally that saw Oak Creek score its lone run when 3B Lucas Margoni crossed the plate on a dropped third strike.
The second contest saw the Knights battle back from an early three-run deficit, eventually tying the game in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Margoni. The Colts responded in clutch fashion in the bottom of the sixth, manufacturing the game-winning run when CF Mavrick Napier singled, stole second, and eventually scored on a passed ball. LHP Mason Robertson anchored the Oak Creek bullpen in the loss, striking out four batters over three innings while surrendering just the one unearned run, while 3B Cooper Schnitzler added a double at the plate.

The Hortonville Polar Bears erupted for five runs in the very first inning to set the tone early, cruising to a commanding 13-4 victory over Eastland on Tuesday. RF Connor Christensen ignited the opening-frame rally with a bases-clearing, three-run double, while 2B/RHP Elijah Yeager capped the team's offensive onslaught with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh. Starter Isaac Behnke earned the win on the mound for Hortonville, scattering just two hits and allowing zero earned runs while striking out three across four innings of work. Yeager then followed up his strong day at the plate by tossing the final three innings in relief, striking out four batters to close out the game. CF Jack Tennie was a standout for the Polar Bears, reaching base safely in all five plate appearances while going 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. For Eastland, CF Brecken Hayden provided a spark at the top of the lineup, recording a pair of hits, including a triple, and scoring twice in the loss.

The Hilltoppers combined dominant pitching with supreme plate discipline to shut out Whitnall 9-0 on Tuesday. Starter LHP Ben Schroeder earned the victory, striking out seven batters and allowing just one hit over four scoreless innings of work. RHP Charlie McElherne seamlessly took the baton in relief, tossing three scoreless frames and striking out four to seal the combined two-hit shutout. Despite recording only two hits as a team, Marquette capitalized on nine walks and three Whitnall errors to fuel its offense, highlighted by a two-run single from pinch-hitter Johnny Bark and a pair of runs scored by DH Harrison Schwabe, who swiped three bases in this one. Marquette junior 3B Charlie Wronski walked twice, stole two bases including a smart delayed steal of home. Whitnall DH Michael Gappa, who doubled, and 3B Corey Gast managed the only base hits for the Falcons in the defeat.

The Bay Port Pirates erupted for seven runs in the second inning to cruise past Ridgewood for an 11-1, five-inning victory on Tuesday. Starter Parker Lawson went the distance on the mound for Bay Port, scattering just four hits and allowing a single unearned run while striking out six batters over five dominant innings. CF Carson Hawley anchored the offensive onslaught, going 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs, including a two-run single that highlighted the second-inning breakout. 1B Drew LeClaire also delivered a key two-run single during the decisive frame and finished with a pair of hits and two RBIs. RF Kyle Szewczyk paced the Ridgewood lineup by reaching base in all three of his plate appearances, tallying a pair of singles and drawing a walk in the defeat.

The Kaukauna Ghosts swept a pair of matchups on Tuesday, holding off the Niles North Vikings for a tight 5-4 victory before erupting for an 18-3, five-inning rout of the Eastland Cougars.
In the opening contest, starter Carson Gates anchored Kaukauna, striking out six batters and allowing just two earned runs over six innings of work. The Ghosts broke a late tie in the bottom of the sixth when 2B Kaden Kress delivered a clutch, go-ahead RBI single, which proved decisive as Kaukauna withstood a two-run Niles North rally in the top of the seventh to secure the win. RF Quentin Gustman paced the Kaukauna offense with a pair of hits, including a triple, while SS Jacob Wolfinger tallied two hits and an RBI for the Vikings in the narrow loss.
Kaukauna's bats caught fire in the nightcap against Eastland, highlighted by a massive nine-run fourth inning. LF Blake Vandeloo was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two doubles, two RBIs, and three runs scored, while 3B Bennett Geitner drove in five runs on a double and a three-run triple. Starter Paxton Schuh was completely dominant on the mound to earn the victory, striking out eight batters over three perfect innings. 2B Camron Huber managed the lone base hit of the game for Eastland.

The St. Joseph Lancers relied on a relentless early offensive attack and a stellar relief performance to defeat the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning 13-6 on Tuesday. Reigning Wisconsin POTY CF Dominic Santarelli got off to an expectedly explosive start to his senior spring, launching a home run in his very first at-bat of 2026, picking up right where he left off as a junior. He finished a single shy of the cycle by going 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, a first-inning home run, four runs scored, and a pair of RBIs. SS Chris Kenesie and 2B/P Nick Falk also drove in two runs apiece to help St. Joseph build a commanding early lead. After starter Zach Rizzo exited in the second inning, Falk took over on the mound and earned the victory in relief, striking out five batters over 3 1/3 innings while allowing just one unearned run on one hit. 2B Ty Klafke was a tough out for Lake Country Lutheran, reaching base safely in all four of his plate appearances with three walks, a single, and two runs scored.

A massive early offensive explosion and four no-hit innings from starting pitcher Waylon Hargrove propelled the Aquinas Blugolds to a commanding 16-1, five-inning rout over Arcadia on Tuesday. Hargrove earned the win with a stellar performance on the mound, striking out five batters and working around five walks to keep Arcadia hitless and completely off the board during his outing. Marcus Klar and Aedan David anchored the relentless Aquinas lineup with four RBI apiece, highlighted by a home run from each to help build an insurmountable 10-0 advantage by the end of the second inning. Cullen Swanson also contributed heavily to the lopsided victory with a three-run triple, while Hargrove helped his own cause at the plate by going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Arcadia struggled to generate momentum at the dish throughout the afternoon, though Ben Lightfoot managed to break up the combined no-hit bid and the shutout by knocking an RBI single in the top of the fifth inning against the Aquinas bullpen.

Waupun mounted a valiant comeback attempt in the top of the seventh, scoring twice on an RBI single from Gopalan and a sacrifice fly by Chase Beahm, but North Laurel reliever Cam Hinkle induced a game-ending groundout to seal the win.

Chase Beahm anchored the Waupun lineup with two RBI, highlighted by a third-inning solo home run, while Brennen Redeker reached base safely in all three of his plate appearances to finish 2-for-2 with a triple, a walk, and two runs scored. Reliever Jacob Steinbach slammed the door out of the bullpen, tossing a perfect seventh inning with a pair of Ks to seal the victory. Logan Brown tallied the lone multi-hit performance for Buckeye by going 2-for-3 with a double, and Aaron Hamman managed to cross the plate for the team's only run following a third-inning error in the defeat.
