Uncommitted Spotlight: '26 Amar Brooks

Prep Baseball Hawaii

With the spring season quickly approaching, we continue highlighting uncommitted prospects in the Classes of 2026 and 2027. As these athletes enter their final years of high school, many talented upperclassmen remain available, some overlooked and others quietly flying under the radar, each searching for the right opportunity to compete at the next level.

In our Uncommitted Spotlight series, we will continue highlighting these prospects across our site and social media channels. Be sure to visit the Uncommitted Spotlight page under the ‘Players’ tab on the homepage to catch up on previous features as we move through the winter and preseason.

Brooks attended his first-ever Prep Baseball event in October at the Oahu Open ID and delivered a strong showing that immediately caught our staff’s attention. He set the tone by posting the top 60-yard dash time among all Hawaii players in 2025, recording a 6.50 in the 60, verified by VALD. At the plate, he put together a strong BP round, producing consistent hard contact with an 89.0 mph average exit velocity, along with a 67% hard-hit rate and an 88.9% sweet-spot rate (launch angles between 8° and 32°). With a 5-foot-10, 140-pound frame, there is still more in the tank for Amar as he prepares for his senior season, and he should be a name to remember with his game-changing speed and upward-trending bat.
