AR Class of 2027 Rankings Update: Fall Edition

As the fall comes to a close, we take another look at a talented 2027 class.

The latest update to the Class of 2027 rankings highlights some newcomers along with a couple of risers in the rankings as well as a new number 1. 

Overall, there was plenty of minor positional shifts in the rankings with the looks of having plenty of more to come in the upcoming 2026 season.

Newcomers

Griffin Vick RHP / SS / Little Rock Christian, AR / 2027

Vick kicks off our newcomers highlights after his performance at the Natural State Fall Games. He brings a tall, athletic build with projection for added strength and velocity as he matures. His arsenal on the mound consists of a FB that reaches 85.2 MPH and a top spin rate of 2,134 RPMs, a depthy CB, and a CH that plays exceptionally well off of his FB. He is an intriguing developmental arm with a strong blend of size, athleticism, and underlying metrics that make him an arm to watch in the coming season. 

Noah Matheson SS / RHP / Rison, AR / 2027

Matheson is next up on our newcomers list. He comes with a slender build with quick-twitch actions. His body projects for added strength and overall athleticism that supports impact on both sides of the ball. On the mound he showcases some explosive mechanics that creates velocity efficiently and could see a noticeable jump with physical maturity. At the plate he brings a twitchy, uphill swing with bat speed that gives him the ability to drive the ball to all parts of the field. Overall, he is a high-upside two-way athlete with explosive movement patterns and clear physical projection.

Khaden Boyd 3B / RHP / Sylvan Hills, AR / 2027

Boyd comes in with a physical, athletic build standing at 6-foot 223-pounds. He is a two-way standout that plays well on both sides of the ball. On the mound he showcases a FB with a ton of carry, creating a lot of swing and misses at the plate. As a hitter he showcases a powerful swing that creates consistent pop reaching a top exit velocity of 98.7 MPH. Look for Boyd to be an impact player for his school in the upcoming season. 


Risers

Kel Mcentire C / OF / White Hall, AR / 2027

Mcentire is the first of two big risers in this rankings update after a standout performance at the Natural State Fall Games. He has shown the ability to continue to improve his game event-to-event jumping 17 spots from the previous rankings. A physical, athletic player at 6-foot 2-inches 200-pounds that moves extremely well for his size clocking a sub 7.00 60 time. Defensively he showcases an impressive arm with a catcher velocity of 81 MPH and an outfield velocity of 85 MPH. He showcases the ability to get the ball out quickly at the dish with a pop time ranging from 1.87-1.97. At the plate, he brings a powerful swing recording a top exit velocity of 100.4 MPH. Mcentire looks to be a promising young athlete that will turn heads throughout the upcoming season.

Gabe Bledsoe OF / RHP / Batesville, AR / 2027

Bledsoe is the second of our biggest risers in the rankings jumping 25 spots. His recent performance at our South Arkansas Fall ID was eye-opening for everyone in attendance. He is as well-rounded as they come as he showcased his speed with a 6.84 60, a top exit velocity of 97.2 MPH, and an impressive arm from the outfield hitting 88 MPH. Bledsoe is true talent that will only continue to get better throughout his young career. Be on the lookout for him to have a breakout year in the upcoming 2026 season.
