Prep Baseball California Best of 2025: Top Catcher Velocity

With our 2026 event calendar on the horizon, our staff has dedicated some time to reflect on the top statistical performers that we saw at our events in 2025. We'll be shining some light on California natives who put up loud numbers in 2025, showcasing their tools to our staff at Prep Baseball California events.
These leaderboards were compiled solely based on numbers at our state events, including Super 60, Preseason IDs, All-States, Open events, Scout Days, Future Games, and the All-American Game, too.

Today we will start breaking down our 2025 event leaderboards with the top catcher velocities.
By the numbers breakdown:
- 29 prospects had a max catcher velocity of 78 mph or higher across all four grad classes.
- 47 prospects had a max outfield velocity between 75-77 mph across the four grad classes.
- 25 2026 prospects had a max infield velocity of 76 mph or higher.
- 26 2027 prospects had a max infield velocity of 75 mph or higher.
- 19 2028 prospects had a max infield velocity of 73 mph or higher.
