Top Uncommitted Prospects: NC’s 2026 Class Still Has Impact Talent on the Board

As the Prep Baseball North Carolina Class of 2026 Rankings continue to settle, one of the most important storylines remains the volume and quality of uncommitted seniors still available. Historically, North Carolina sees 350+ commitments in each graduating class. As of this rankings update, 249 commitments have been tracked for the 2026 class—leaving significant opportunity heading into the preseason and early spring.

This group will be under a microscope in the coming months as college coaches finalize rosters and search for late additions who can impact immediately. Preseason events and early spring games often provide the final separating looks for this class.

Jordan Bonner | OF | Pro5 Baseball

Bonner shows athleticism that plays on both sides of the ball. Moves well in the outfield with speed that translates defensively, while the offensive profile continues to trend upward with improved bat control and gap-to-gap potential. One of the most “tooled-out” athletes in the class

Watson brings a clean arm action and the ability to fill the zone. Shows feel for spin and sequencing, with the frame suggesting additional velocity upside. A strike-thrower who can help stabilize a pitching staff.


Chase Smith | 1B | East Forsyth HS

Smith is a strength-driven offensive profile with power potential at the next level. Shows confident swings in BP and improving feel for contact in game action. Jaden Gore | MIF | West Brunswick HS

Andrew Mohler | 3B | Cary HS

Mohler shows a strong right-handed bat with the ability to drive the baseball. Defensively profiles well at third base with adequate arm strength and improving lateral actions. Offensive production will be his calling card.


Jalen Boyd | OF | Covenant Day

Boyd is an athletic outfield profile with speed and twitch. Shows range defensively and the ability to impact the baseball when on time. Continued physical development could unlock more offensive consistency.


Daniel Eber | OF | Hough HS

Last Event: NC/SC Border Battle
Eber brings a projectable frame with athletic movement patterns. Shows improving bat speed and defensive instincts in the outfield. A name to monitor closely as spring performance ramps up. In game at-bats and approach profile at a higher level than his BP, which can be a good sign as to his readiness as he steps on campus.


What’s Ahead for the 2026 Class

The preseason and early spring will be pivotal for the remaining uncommitted seniors. With roster needs still being finalized, performances over the next several months will heavily influence late recruiting decisions.
