Kansas Class of 2026 Rankings Update: Fall Edition

Andy Urban
Regional Supervisor

After our last few evets this fall the Prep Baseball Kansas staff has once again updated the state’s 2026 rankings. After a massive mid fall update, we made some moderate adjustments as we head into the off season.

While the top of our rankings remains unchanged, this update features several newcomers and notable risers after strong showings throughout the fall. Below, we take a deeper look at the movement within the class and highlight standouts from the fall showcase circuit.

RISERS

Owen Glamann RHP / OF / Haysville Campus, KS / 2026

The easy-moving 6-foot right-hander has been an arm on our radar for a long time, as it was obvious that he would make a jump at some point, and this fall, he delivered. At the Canes Scout Day, Glamann filled up the zone with a fastball up to 88 with 2300+ spin. The Butler CC commit also mixed a solid, high-spin curveball and a fading changeup. Glamann is up nearly 50 spots and could continue to rise as he adds strength.

JJ Grove SS / OF / Wichita Northwest, KS / 2026

Up 11 spots, the quick-twitch versatile defender showed added arm strength this fall, which gives him a real chance to play the left side of the infield or patrol center field at the next level. One of the better runners in the class with a 6.6 and an even better 10-yard split, Grove is one of the top athletes in the class.

Jack Euston 3B / SS / Blue Valley, KS / 2026

Euston keeps getting better on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the right-handed hitter showed exit velos up to 101 at the KS Fall Games and showed that his pop plays in game. On the mound, the 6-foot-1, 207-pound right-hander is an easy 85 mph with a swing-and-miss breaking ball. Euston is up 55 spots in these rankings.

Easton Carter LHP / OF / Clearwater, KS / 2026

In a little over a year, the Coffeyville commit has added velo and deception from a near over-the-top slot. Up to 84 at the recent KS Curve Scout Day, Carter now has the stuff to be effective against both right and left-handed hitters at the next level. The lefty is up 125 spots in this ranking.

Heath Hoekman 3B / SS / Abilene, KS / 2026

Hoekman just keeps getting better and better every time we see him. The recent NOC Tonkawa commit showed up to the KS Fall Games injured and still found a way to show he was one of the top uncommitted bats in the state at the time. A hard-nosed, gritty player, Hoekman looks to be a tough out in the middle of the order at the next level.

NEWCOMERS

Darin Fehr RHP / Lawrence Free State, KS / 2026

The Yard Baseball Scout Day was our first look at Fehr, who was buried on one of the most talented pitching staffs the state has seen in some time at Free State last spring. In his pen, Fehr was around the strike zone with a fastball up to 89 and mixed in a swing-and-miss changeup as well as a developing slider. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander enters the rankings just outside of the top 50 and could easily rise as we see him compete this spring. Fehr recently committed to Barton County.

Chase Harrington 1B / OF / Emporia, KS / 2026

Our first look at Harrington at the KS Fall Games was an impressive one. One of the more physical players in the class at 6-foot-2, 218 pounds and packed with strength, the two-way athlete was just as impressive on both sides of the ball. The right-handed hitter showed easy juice with an exit velo up to 100 and found barrels in the game. On the mound, Harrington mixed three pitches for strikes, featuring a fastball up to 84.

Max Evans SS / RHP / Russell, KS / 2026

The recent Butler commit is a 6-3, 210-pound two-way athlete who shines brightest as a position player right now. An impressive 6.8 runner with a smooth gait, Evans will be able to move well laterally on the left side of the infield. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows natural lift in his swing, with more power likely to come.

Kilian Kelley RHP / 3B / Andover Central, KS / 2026

The recent Colby commit makes his first appearance in our rankings just outside the top 100 after showing feel for a four-pitch mix, including two different high-spin breaking balls and a fastball up to 84.

Sam Thielen OF / Russell, KS / 2026

At the recent Kansas Curve Scout Day, the R/R outfielder showed all-around above-average tools and actions, making him one of the top uncommitted outfielders in the state.
