Standouts Who Climbed the Board in the Latest Update

The newest update to the North Carolina Class of 2026 Rankings brings meaningful movement across the board, driven by a productive fall evaluation window and continued development across the Senior class. With the list now expanded to the Top 375 players, the Prep Baseball scouting staff has spent the past several months gathering new information through events, workouts, game looks, and pro prospect–focused opportunities.

These fall evaluations provided clarity on several players whose progress warranted a significant jump. Whether through refined pitch quality, improved athletic markers, or more consistent in-game performance, these prospects strengthened their profiles and rose accordingly.

Below, we highlight 10 North Carolina players whose growth and trending tools earned them a bump in the updated 2026 rankings.


Rankings Risers – Player Spotlights


Isaiah James | LHP | South Central HS | Duke Commit

James made one of the most impactful climbs in the update, showcasing a sharper delivery and improved pitch execution early in the the fall. The long, projectable lefty now works with more consistent fastball carry and better zone presence, while his breaking ball has taken on firmer action with later shape. His athleticism, trending command, and swing-and-miss potential solidify him as one of the premier southpaws in the class, garnering potential high round draft interest heading to the spring.


Logan D'Amico | RHP | Marvin Ridge HS | Wake Forest Commit

D’Amico continues to trend toward a high-ceiling ACC profile. A velocity bump, paired with more efficient movement patterns, helped elevate his stock. His fastball features late life that creates uncomfortable swings, and the breaking ball has sharpened into a more reliable weapon. With rising arm speed and a more physical frame, D’Amico made a strong case for a jump in the updated board.


Anaan Rahming | LHP | Grace Christian School | South Florida Commit

Rahming delivered one of the stronger fall showings among left-handed arms. His fastball made a jump in velocity, action, and zone presence. The breaking ball flashes tight spin with depth, allowing him to potentially miss bats at a higher rate than seen in early 2025. The athleticism was never in question and his movement patterns continue to lead his prospect status. Flashing a better feel for the zone and sequencing, the upside becomes even more evident. Rahming’s competitiveness and trending pitch quality drove his rise.


Dylan Stacks | RHP/INF | North Brunswick HS | UNC Greensboro Commit

Stacks continues to tick up with each season on the bump. The overall athleticism increase has led to the stuff ticking up out of the hand. Paired with the potential to be a dual prospect at the college level, Stack’s overall prospect status saw a jump. At the Wilmington Fall ID he showed improved fastball carry and sharper secondary action, while maintaining good feel for controlling the zone. The athleticism, dual-value profile, and steady developmental arc made him one of the more notable movers in the 2026 class.


Camden Croom | RHP/1B | New Hanover HS | UNC Wilmington Commit

Croom’s upward trajectory is fueled by physicality and a steady climb in the box. The swing plane and power potential took a noticeable jump at the Wilmington Fall ID. While the Prep Baseball scouting staff was always high on the advanced slider from the mound, the hit profile took a big jump and has Croom as a potential impact two-way player at the college level. . The right-hander saw noticeable velocity gains this fall, and his breaking ball now shows deeper shape and more consistent finish. His size, raw tools, and momentum point to more jumps ahead.


Jimmy Alfonsin | INF | Grace Christian School | Gardner-Webb Commit

Alfonsin’s rising profile is tied to his reliability and offensive maturity. The right-handed hitter owns one of the more consistent barrels in the class, producing backspun line drives with a simple, repeatable stroke. A big weekend at the Carolinas Fall Championships in Cary, NC led the scouting staff to bump Alfonsin’s overall player grade in this rankings round. Alfonsin looks increasingly college-ready across the board.


Andrew Mohler | INF | Cary HS | Uncommitted

Mohler was one of the most impressive uncommitted position players evaluated this fall. His bat-to-ball skills stand out, and his foot speed and defensive actions have taken noticeable steps forward. With added strength and a more dynamic overall tool set, Mohler is trending toward becoming a priority follow as uncommitted recruiting accelerates into the spring.


William Jordak | OF | Myers Park HS | Cleveland CC Commit

Jordak’s rise is tied to a clear jump in athleticism and in-game impact. The left-handed hitter now shows improved bat speed and more authoritative contact while maintaining strong barrel accuracy. His defensive range and arm strength also ticked up during the fall, giving him the versatility to handle multiple outfield spots. Jordak profiles as a potential high-impact offensive piece at the next level.


Henry Geiser | INF | Green Level HS | Bryant & Stratton–VA Commit

Geiser has continued to elevate his profile through strength gains and a more forceful offensive approach. The right-handed hitter shows better bat speed and louder contact, paired with a defensive skill set that allows him to move confidently around the infield. His internal clock and steady glove help anchor his value, making him one of the more reliable risers in this update.


Jake Blanton | OF | Watauga HS | King University Commit

Blanton made one of the larger jumps in the outfield group, driven by improved swing efficiency and better overall offensive impact. His athleticism continues to trend upward, with enhanced defensive range and growing arm strength. Blanton’s combination of quickness, contact quality, and projection helped solidify his spot as a rankings riser.
