2026 OUTLOOK
+ Wartburg Central enters the 2026 season coming off a solid 15–13 campaign that ended with a District Tournament appearance, and head coach Zach Moore returns a roster that blends experience with a promising group of young arms. Competing in TSSAA District 3A, the Bulldogs look positioned to take another step forward as several key contributors return in expanded roles.
The foundation of this group starts up the middle with Evan Crouch (2026), who anchors the infield at shortstop and provides steady leadership on both sides of the ball. Noah Shannon (2027) brings versatility and physicality as a corner bat who can work at first base or behind the plate, while the 2028 class adds impact athleticism throughout the lineup. Parker Rogers (2028) and Riley Thompson (2028) are important two-way pieces who contribute both in the infield and on the mound, and Parker Beene (2028) adds further flexibility as a utility option capable of logging innings and filling multiple roles.
Pitching depth stands out as a potential strength for Wartburg Central. Rogers, Beene, and Thompson all return as reliable arms who saw action last spring, while Ian Graber adds another option to the staff, giving the Bulldogs multiple looks they can lean on throughout the season. That depth should allow Wartburg Central to manage workloads and remain competitive deep into district play.
The Bulldogs also welcome a young newcomer in outfielder Jackson Seay (2029), who represents the next wave of talent entering the program and could push for opportunities as the season progresses.
With returning leadership, multiple two-way contributors, and a pitching staff that offers both depth and versatility, Wartburg Central looks ready to build on last season’s momentum and compete once again in District 3A during the 2026 campaign.
