2025 Most Viewed Profiles: No. 21 C Colton Boyd

As we close the book on 2025 and turn our attention toward a new year, we continue our annual tradition of spotlighting the Top-25 Most Viewed Profiles from the past calendar year. Using data gathered through Google Analytics, our staff has compiled a list of the 25 prospects whose Prep Baseball profiles generated the most traffic in 2025. Many of the players featured delivered standout performances at various Prep Baseball events throughout the year, helping elevate their visibility and interest.
Beginning December 7th, we’ll count down the list from No. 25 to No. 1, with the top spot being revealed on December 31st. Continuing this year’s countdown is C Colton Boyd, a Southern Miss commit in the 2027 class from Orange Beach High School, who lands at No. 21.

Colton Boyd C / 3B / Orange Beach, AL / 2027Coming in at No. 21 on this year’s Top-25 is C Colton Boyd of Orange Beach HS, a 2027 Southern Miss commit who brings one of the most physical and polished skill sets in the class. The 5-foot-11, 224-pound backstop is advanced defensively with clean receiving actions, an 81 mph catcher velocity, and a top pop time of 1.93. Offensively, Boyd’s strength translates into real impact, posting a top exit velocity of 101.5 mph and showcasing gap-to-gap power from the right side. He impressed throughout 2025, from standing out at the Yellowhammer State Games to delivering multiple hits in gameplay at the Prep Baseball Future Games. Boyd also ran a 7.11 60-yard dash this summer and capped off his strong year by committing to Southern Miss in September. A well-rounded, productive catcher with present strength and advanced tools, Boyd continues to trend as one of the top backstops in Alabama’s 2027 class. |
