Bret Schwartz
Prep Baseball Oklahoma Scouting Director

We take a look at a final rankings update for the Senior class as they close the book on their 2025 campaigns. This year has seen both high level talent near the top of the rankings along with depth throughout, and the most uncommitted talent for this time of year due to roster restrictions at the Division I level. We’ll highlight various prospects that we had our first chance to see as well as take a deeper look at some of those uncommitted players looking for their right fit at the next level.

RANKINGS SPOTLIGHTS

Cody Young SS / OF / Bixby, OK / 2026

Young continues to rise in our latest installment with the ability to impact games in a variety of ways. The switch hitting shortstop has shown the ability to defend in the middle of the diamond as well as stay on the left side of the infield with a strong arm - up to 90 mph across the diamond. His top of the order skillset pressures defenses as the switch hitting infielder can drive the ball from alley to alley and use his legs on the bases - recently clocking a 6.65 60. Still more development in his future, the lean infielder will be a difference maker for a talented Bixby squad this spring.

Cole Britton OF / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2026

Britton showed the ability to impact the baseball with a mature approach and easy, efficient offensive move at the OKC Fall ID. A physical bat in the middle of the order, he showed increased athleticism with a 6.99 60 as well. The right handed hitting outfielder drove balls from alley to alley consistently showing the extra base hit potential that we have seen from the Edmond Santa Fe product in the past. In the outfield, his athleticism continues to show through working downhill and displaying an accurate throwing arm. Britton will be a name to know this spring as he produces out of the middle of the lineup for the 6A defending state champions.

Kolby Grinsteiner C / OF / Edmond North, OK / 2026

Grinsteiner continues to showcase athleticism and versatility from a physical 6’3” and 205 pound frame. The Edmond North backstop offers the ideal target as a pitcher’s battery mate, clocked pop times as low as 1.9, and shown the ability to work beneath the baseball despite his size. Further, he showed the ability to defend in the outfield with his athleticism showing through, good feet, and quick exchanges similar to what we see behind the dish. Offensively, the development has been consistent with his power and extra base hit ability continuing on an upward trajectory as he recently set personal bests with a 98.1 mph max Exit Velocity and 90.6 mph avg EV. The well-rounded skillset continues to blossom and will be a big part of 2026 success for an Edmond North squad coming off a state tourney run.

Ethan Arant RHP / SS / Tulsa NOAH, OK / 2026

Arant continues to develop his entire mix and is filling out his 6’0” frame. With the added strength and physical maturity, it is showing up on the mound as well. The fastball velo continues to rise, reaching the mid 80s and as high as 86, with the ability to run and sink it with up to 15” of Horizontal Movement. The secondary offerings continue to trend up as well, with both the slider and splitter showing the ability to miss barrels and work off of the fastball. Filled with upside, Arant will be a name to continue following as he further develops his entire mix.

Ethan Dobbs SS / RHP / Homeschool, OK / 2026

Dobbs was one of the true winners of the prospects seen throughout the fall with the clear and obvious development. The 6’0” and 190 pound athlete has shown defensive versatility in the past, but this fall he further showcased that aforementioned development with personal bests in positional velo. His best work came as he flashed his offensive skillset that can pressure defenses that included a personal best 6.96 60. With the bat, Dobbs put up numerous personal bests this fall, a 99.4 mph max Exit Velocity, 90.1 mph avg EV, and peripheral metrics that support his growth. The uncommitted 2026 grad is a name to know with present athleticism and future upside.

Mack Conroy 1B / RHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2026

Conroy flashed an innings eater skillset with a work horse frame at 6’2” and 250 pounds. The strike thrower attacked both edges and was up to 86 mph with the fastball. As we have seen in the past, the right hander attacks the strike zone consistently working ahead of opposing hitters. The breaking ball shape is consistent with the ability to land it in the zone at a high level. The uncommitted right hander will be a big part of Bishop Kelley’s success this spring with his mix attacking the bottom of the strike zone and staying off the opponent’s barrel.

Max Stephens RHP / 3B / Bixby, OK / 2026

Stephens jumped as a right handed pitcher with legitimate upside at the Bixby Scout Day. The athletic 6’0’’ and 185 pound prospect fired a three-pitch mix that pounded the zone. As for the mix, the fastball worked up to 86 mph with the velo rising throughout the bullpen and IVB up to 20.9”. Both his secondary offerings, the curveball and changeup, played well off the fastball with similar releases heights, minimal IVB, and enough Horizontal Movement to stay off the barrel. A name to know for a talented Bixby squad as Stephens could contribute valued innings on the mound.
