Rhodes was a pleasant surprise for our scouting team, helping his squad take home the Prep Baseball KC Slugfest Championship this past summer. His 6.5 speed immediately stood out, but he was equally impressive at the plate. The 5-foot-11, 175-pound athlete has underrated tools — he’s one of our top runners, flashes near–triple-digit exit velocity, and shows above-average bat speed, topping out at 85 mph. Rhodes is definitely a name to watch over the next year as he could become an enticing target for college programs thanks to this combination of tools.
