Scouting Report
The Texas A&M commit and former Future Gamer swung the bat extremely well last Thursday in our look against Waxahatchie (TX) and their #1 arm Judd Nash, who is headed to Panola Junior College. Alexander collected three singles on the day, one to the pull-side, one up the middle, and one to the opposite-field. In his second at-bat, he showed good adjustability on a first-pitch curveball, keeping his hands back just long enough and keeping his barrel flat through the zone to punch a single up the middle. In his last at-bat, he did a nice job of staying behind and through a fastball on the outer-half to drive it the other way for a line drive single. Alexander is certainly at his best when he's driving the ball to all fields, which is a good sign for the Bucs and him.
'3" 190 lbs. physical frame. The former Future Gamer and Texas A&M commit is back healthy this spring and took some really good at-bats last Friday against Parkview Baptist, and also recorded two of Barbe's four total hits the day before. Against the Eagles, Alexander laid down a perfect bunt for a hit down the 1B line in his first at-bat and then smoked a two-out RBI double to the opposite field gap in his second at-bat, which extended the Bucs lead to 4-0. He got hit by a pitch in his third at-bat and then proceeded to steal 2nd and 3rd to finish the game 2-2 at the plate.
