Luke Parkinson RHP / OF / Whitnall, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 33 / POS: 11
![]() The Braves were also able to strengthen their pitching depth with Luke Parkinson, a projectable right-handed arm who emerged onto the scene this past year. Standing in at a trim 6-foot-3, 174-pound frame with more strength to come, there is a lot to like on the mound with the athletic right-hander. Parkinson shows swing-and-miss potential across his three-pitch arsenal, showing the ability to generate whiffs with each offering. His fastball features life and run through the zone, sitting in the upper-80s and touching 90 mph. He complements it with a sharp, high-spin curveball that has a 2,500 rpm max spin rate and a lower-80s changeup that tunnels effectively off his fastball. From 7/31/25: “Currently ranked No. 30 in Wisconsin’s 2026 class. Displaying an athletic, long-levered 6-foot-3, 174-pound frame, Parkinson secured swings-and-misses with his lively fastball. He utilized a sharp curveball at 68-71 mph with 2,525 rpm and -20.4” IVB max. He also flashed a changeup at 77-81 mph with mostly straight action. Parkinson tossed two scoreless innings, only allowing one hit and two walks with three strikeouts.” |
ILLINOIS-CHICAGO
Chicago continued to be a popular out of state destination for the state’s top recruits, as the Flames were able to bring in two Wisconsin products with the signings of SS Chance Ruby (Wilmot) and RHP Cameron Carter (Arrowhead).
|
Chance Ruby SS / RHP / Wilmot, WI / 2026There is a lot to dream on with Chance Ruby, who has been a consistent performer in front of our staff for several years now. Listed at a durable 6-foot, 187-pound frame with some strength present throughout, Ruby has steadily been one of the top middle infielders in the midwest with both his bat and glove. Currently ranked No. 6 in the state and No. 247 nationally, Ruby comes off an impressive spring campaign that earned him First Team All-State honors. Ruby is an athletic mover on the diamond, recording a 6.56-second 60-yard dash. At the plate, he shows above-average barrel control with power to all fields. Defensively, he displays a clean glove up the middle and pairs it with a strong arm across the diamond, reaching 92 mph. He also has shown potential on the mound, working with an effective four-pitch arsenal that features a fastball that’s been up to 91 mph. From 7/17/25: “Illinois-Chicago commit and no. 5th ranked player in the Wisconsin 2026 class. Would showcase a premier right-handed hitting, up-the-middle profile throughout the weekend. A pure athlete who showed twitchy actions both at shortstop and at the plate, Ruby would finish the tournament 9-for-20 with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs, and six runs scored. Will be a name to follow within next year’s MLB Draft. An athletic 6-foot, 187-pound frame, Ruby had an interesting appearance on the mound Sunday afternoon. The right-hander was working with a two-pitch mix with the fastball sitting 84-87 mph, T89, and the slider was sitting 75-76 mph, late sharp break. An athletic, fluid mover on the mound with long, clean arm action from the ¾ slot. A competitor on the mound, filling up the zone with ease, with feel for the slider.” |

Cameron Carter RHP / OF / Arrowhead, WI / 2026Cameron Carter is an arm that has been on our staff’s radar since his first event in 2020 and remains a name to watch as he continues to develop. Currently ranked No. 10 in the state and No. 426 nationally, the Flames will be receiving a bulldog on the mound who consistently competes at a high level. Measuring in at a projectable 6-foot-4, 183-pound frame, Carter combines his size with a lively arm and room to continue adding strength. He features an intriguing three-pitch mix that has shown the potential to produce whiffs in-game. He showcases a firm upper-80s-to-low-90s fastball that has been up to 91 mph, pairing it with an 12/6 curveball that shows depth, and a fading changeup in the mid-80s that works deceptively off his fastball. From 5/8/25: “Illinois-Chicago commit, stands at 6-foot-4, 182 pounds with clear room for added muscle throughout the frame. Carter is an athlete on the mound with developing feel to repeat, longer levers, consistently getting the arm up and time before working in line to the plate. Three pitch mix, the fastball sat 88-91 mph with carry throughout the outing, scattered command of the pitch, tough to barrel when landed up in the zone. The curveball is thrown hard at 80-82 mph with big 12/6 action with no hop out of the hand and feel to land throughout the zone in this look. The breaking ball looks like a future swing and miss pitch at the next level with more to dream on from the offering. The change up played at 84 mph and was thrown downhill with fade from a higher slot, another secondary with a ceiling with the potential to be a usable option against both handed batters. At the plate, the right-handed hitter, has been a constant presence in the middle of Arrowhead’s lineup this spring performing once again in front of our staff reaching base five times throughout the matchup. Twitchy right-handed swing with bat-to-ball traits and speed that translates to the basepaths.” |

Vincent Bitter RHP / 1B / Brookfield Central, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 6
![]() The Redbirds bolstered their pitching staff by adding RHP Vincent Bitter (Brookfield Central), a right-hander who brings a high-spin feel to his three-pitch arsenal. Standing at a physical 6-foot-2, 220-pound frame with strength throughout, Bitter is a player who could potentially earn early opportunities on the Illinois State pitching staff. The right-hander consistently fills the zone with each of his pitches, utilizing a high-spin upper-80s fastball with arm-side run that touches 90 mph and spin rates above 2,500 rpm. He complements it with a sharp curveball spinning over 2,600 rpm and a high-spin, heavily fading changeup. From 2/26/25: “RHP Vince Bitter (Brookfield Central, 2026; Illinois State) was our very first pitcher of the day and he really set the tone for a talent-packed event. Bitter sat 88-89 mph (90.3 max) on a quality fastball that he attacked the zone with. He has feel for the zone with his secondaries as well, like his slider, 76-78 mph, that sweeps at nearly 10 inches on average (1.2-inch IVB avg.). The changeup might even be his best secondary, at 78-79 mph he gets it to move arm-side at 12.3 inches (-3.2-inch IVB avg.). From a simple, low-effort delivery inside a physical 6-foot-2, 210-pound stature, Bitter exhibits starter traits at the next level.” |

Cail Geiger RHP / 3B / Menomonee Falls, WI / 2026Rankings StateRank: 17 / POS: 4
![]() Recently re-committed right-hander Geiger brings a lively arm and plenty of pitchability that should be an asset for the Phoenix pitching staff. Currently ranked No. 17 in the state, the right-hander comes off strong spring and summer campaigns that earned him Third Team All-State honors and a spot on Team Heartland at the Senior Future Games. Working in at a well-proportioned 6-foot, 188-pound frame with strength throughout, Geiger possesses an advanced feel for spin across his four-pitch arsenal. He works with a heavy fastball that shows life out of the hand and has topped 91 mph. From 7/31/25: “Geiger came off an appearance at the Senior Future Games that generated a crowd behind home plate in Georgia. At State Games, the results were mixed, but he still looked like one of the top (then) uncommitted pitchers in Wisconsin, with a loose, easy arm action on the mound with a long, clean arm path. His fastball was up to 91 with carry through the zone, and played well in the lower-half of the zone. He mixed in an upper-70s curveball with an average of 2498 rpm, and a slider in the low-80s with an average of 2603 rpm, -8.2 inches of induced vertical break, and -11.2 inches of horizontal movement. Both his off-speed pitches showed swing and miss stuff, and he continued to look the part of a top-end arm in the class.” |
