Welcome to the WIAA Daily Roundup, where our Prep Baseball Wisconsin staff will provide readers with scores, game recaps, and highlights from the games that took place the day before. In conjunction with our comprehensive in-game coverage throughout the 2026 season, we’ll publish this Daily Roundup to keep readers informed on the latest happenings across the state.
We obtain most of our scores by following teams on GameChanger and on X, as well as through websites like Bound and MaxPreps. Coaches are also able to submit their own team’s box scores to us via email at [email protected]. Starter Damian Kosempa held Sun Prairie East hitless across three innings, allowing just one unearned run and striking out four batters, with four walks, before Harrison Schwabe tossed four scoreless innings (4 Ks) of two-hit relief to earn the win. Schwabe helped his own cause at the plate with an RBI single in the third inning, bolstering an offensive attack highlighted by an RBI double from CF Boden McGourthy and a run-scoring single by C Silas Kwaterski. LF Jack Ostrenga manufactured the lone run of the day for Sun Prairie East, drawing a walk, stealing a pair of bases, and scoring on a second-inning error, while senior C Manny Abreu Socorro tallied the only other base hit for the Cardinals.

The Pirates’ bats came alive in a massive 12-run fourth inning, supported by Eli Hart, who finished 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, and four RBI, and Cayden Heier, who added a double and a triple of his own. Parker Broehm earned the win with a perfect inning of relief, striking out two, while starter Carson Hawley set the tone early by fanning four across 2.0 scoreless frames. The Cougars were led by Cooper Fleming, who went 2-for-3 with a double, and Parker Trusty, who drove in two runs in the losing effort.

The Lancers erased an early deficit with a persistent offensive attack to defeat the Wilmot Panthers 12-4 on Wednesday. After falling behind 4-2 in the second inning, the Lancers took the lead for good behind Robbie Johnson, who finished 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, and an RBI. Christian Silva provided a dominant performance out of the bullpen, earning the win by tossing 4.0 scoreless innings with five strikeouts and only three hits allowed. The victory was bolstered by a balanced lineup featuring Chris Kenesie, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. CF Dominic Santarelli also sparked the top of the lineup with two hits, including a double, and three runs scored. SS Chance Ruby and 2B Easton Pye strung together a pair of multi-hit performances to lead the Wilmot attack in the defeat.

Down 7-1 entering the bottom of the fifth, the Jaguars surged back with a five-run frame before Ian Justman delivered the decisive blow in the seventh, driving a walk-off, two-run double to seal the victory. Andrew Jeske earned the win in relief, tossing 4.0 innings and allowing four runs while striking out two to keep the Jaguars within striking distance. Justman finished with two RBI, while Moxson Kernz sparked the lineup with a 2-for-4 performance and a run scored. Northmont was led by Welch, who hit a two-run home run, and Fuduloff, who collected two hits and two RBI in the narrow loss.

The Auburndale Eagles leveraged a dominant pitching performance and a series of middle-inning rallies to defeat the Wright Red Devils 9-2 on Wednesday. Truxton Becker was the story on the mound, tossing a complete-game five-hitter with 12 Ks and only one earned run allowed over 7.0 innings. The Eagles' offense provided plenty of support, led by Brennen Welch, who went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI, and Peyton Weinfurter, who reached base four times and scored three runs. Despite a solid effort from Wright’s Eli Ruotsala, who struck out five in 3.0 hitless innings, the Red Devils were undone by seven walks and a late surge from Auburndale that included a three-run third and a three-run sixth to put the game out of reach.

The Catholic Central Hilltoppers exploded for nine runs in the fifth inning to blow open a tight contest and defeat the Racine Park Panthers 12-2 on Wednesday. After trailing early, the Hilltoppers' offense took advantage of 11 walks and timely hitting from Jax Daams, who drove in three runs, and Jayce Anderson, who finished with two RBI. Joey Kmecek earned the win with 3.0 innings of stellar relief, striking out four without allowing a run or a walk. Wyatt Leiting set the table for the Hilltoppers at the top of the lineup, finishing 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored in the shortened five-inning victory.

Irish squandered an early six-run lead but rallied in extra innings to capture a thrilling 9-8 walk-off victory over Worthington Christian. Trailing by one in the bottom of the eighth, Eli Shepard played the hero by ripping a game-ending, two-run single to center field to seal the win. Irish starter Eli Shepard yielded six runs (three earned) with five Ks over 3.2 IP, but it was reliever Ryan Heran who picked up the victory after allowing two unearned runs and striking out five across 3.1 frames. Worthington Christian starter Gibby Belcher surrendered seven runs in 3.1 innings, leaving reliever Charlie Kabourek to suffer the tough-luck loss after giving up two unearned runs in 4.1 innings of work. Catcher Tristan Colovic fueled the Hustlers' offense, going 2-for-2 with a two-run HR and three RBI to cement the lead. Reliever Zack Mannes earned the win with a dominant shutdown performance, tossing 5.2 scoreless IP while allowing just four hits and three BBs with five Ks. Starter Gavin Brennenstuhl took the loss for Irish, yielding six runs (five earned) on five hits and four walks over two innings. Ethan Miller set the tone on the mound, earning the win by striking out four and yielding just one hit and two walks over 3.0 scoreless innings before the bullpen completed the shutout. The Eagles’ offense scored in all five frames, led by Brady Dickman, who collected three RBI including a two-run double in the fifth, and Jax Nash, who finished a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Aiden Minx sparked the top of the lineup with a triple and three runs, while Miller helped his own cause by driving in two runs on a pair of sacrifice flies. The Red Devils' bats were kept quiet throughout the afternoon, with Ethan Gallo providing their lone extra-base hit via a first-inning double and Eli Ruotsala adding a single in the defeat.

O'Fallon grabbed control immediately with a two-run first inning, aided by an RBI from Luka Freidenberg, and tacked on an insurance run in the sixth when Liam Decker drove in a run. Hrasky was dominant on the mound, earning the win by scattering six hits over 7.0 scoreless innings while striking out five and issuing zero walks. Neenah starter Gus Weinholzer took the loss, allowing two earned runs on three hits and two walks with three Ks over 4.0 innings of work. Despite being kept off the scoreboard, the Rockets managed some success at the plate from Weinholzer and Henry St. Clair, who each collected two hits in the defeat, while O'Fallon's attack was sparked by Anthony Perez, who drew three walks, stole a base, and scored a run.

Will Krebsbach earned the win in relief, shutting the door with 4.0 innings of one-run ball while scattering three hits and striking out six without issuing a walk. He followed a strong start from Liam O'Toole, who allowed just one unearned run and one hit over 3.0 innings with three Ks. Springboro's bullpen kept the game tight with 4.0 hitless and scoreless innings, while Dean Stall drove in a run on a sacrifice fly and Ben Kacsandy legged out a triple in the narrow defeat.

Braun Wotruba anchored the potent Pulaski lineup, finishing 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs scored, and three RBI, while Eddie Van Roy punctuated the offensive outburst with a two-run home run. Eli Heuser earned the win on the mound for the Red Raiders, tossing 5.0 solid innings while allowing just one earned run on four hits and two walks alongside four Ks. The Tigers' offense was largely contained, though Brennan Balen put together a solid day at the plate by going 2-for-3 with a triple and a run scored, and Danny Overdorf drove in their lone run of the afternoon. Bishop Timon-St. Jude starter Mattingly Goc suffered the loss after struggling with his command, yielding five earned runs and six walks over the first 2.0 frames.

Gabe Poznanski earned the win in relief, striking out two over the final 1.2 innings to shut down a seventh-inning threat, backing up starter Noel Turek, who fanned six but allowed four runs over 3.0 innings of work.

The Rams manufactured their runs through aggressive baserunning, with Kleppin scoring twice following a walk and a single and three steals, including a pivotal run on a wild pitch in the fourth. Brookfield Academy threatened in the seventh by putting two runners on with one out, but Kleppin recorded back-to-back strikeouts to end the game. Garrett Priebe led the Blue Knights’ offense with two of the team's three hits, while Chase Verbanac provided a late insurance RBI single for the Rams.

The Falcons broke the game open with an eight-run fourth inning, highlighted by RBI extra-base hits from Reineking and Aidan Schmahl. Schmahl also earned the win on the mound, racking up eight strikeouts while allowing just one run on one hit over three innings. James Schulze led the Lutheran offense with two hits and an RBI, but the team was stifled by Ries, who struck out the side in the fifth to end the contest.

Union Grove’s Northup earned the win, scattering two hits over 5.1 scoreless innings with eight strikeouts, while relievers Rogowski and Kuiper combined to complete the shutout. Grant Community starter Hamm took the loss, yielding four runs on three hits and five walks in 2.1 innings of work. Offensively, Pascucci led the Broncos by going 2-for-3 with two RBI, and Reesman added a hit and an RBI. Grant Community was limited to just three hits on the day, with Figueroa, Abdelhak, and Sledzik each reaching base safely via singles.

Trailing by one in their final at-bat, the Falcons surged ahead behind an RBI single from Mitchell Chmielewski and a sacrifice fly by Gast, eventually extending the lead through a pair of bases-loaded walks by Kyle Klumb and Lucas Weber. Evan Kaczmarek earned the win in relief, tossing 3.2 dominant innings of hitless ball while striking out three to shut down the Catholic Memorial offense. Lucas Weber started the contest for Whitnall, allowing two runs on two hits and six walks with four strikeouts over 3.1 innings. Chmielewski and Michael Gappa each finished with two hits to lead the Falcons' attack, while Haddon provided an RBI single and Liam Darst added a double for Catholic Memorial in the loss.
