TOP UNCOMMITTED ARMS 💪

HIGH SCHOOL POSITION
40 Taygen Stephensen Lehi RHP
Taygen finally got his chance to pitch at the West Coast Games this Fall, after not having the opportunity all Summer. This kid can absolutely pitch. The FB sat 85-86 in his outing, featuring a 3 pitch mix and strong sense of how to manipulate spin and change eye levels. He attacked all 4 quadrants of the zone, and is an athlete on the mound with a huge Spring in front of him. Whoever lands Taygen at the next level is getting a legit arm that’s been very overlooked.

Williams brings an extremely mature approach to his game, not often seen from players his age. Whether it’s planning his lift for the week around his next start, or to his strict pregame routine, he takes every chance to put himself in position to be successful. The 6’1 175 lb frame with very broad shoulders and long limbs provide physical upside, along with plenty of room for added growth. The FB sits in the mid 80s and has shown a willingness to throw his secondary pitches when behind in the count. Will had an impressive Junior campaign, and I fully expect an encore season.

52 PJ Hancock Snow Canyon RHP

Two Warrior Senior is a two way talent with his best baseball ahead of him. Athletic frame with a live arm that produces heavy spin and late life. The FB sits in the mid 80s featuring a wipeout SL that he has shown confidence to throw in any count. Lots of upside here and we expect a big 2026 for PJ.

53 Madden Smith Crimson Cliffs RHP

One of the more intriguing arms in the Class has to be Madden Smith. As a two sport athlete (football) he really uses his large frame and strength to his advantage consistently. On the gridiron, his athleticism really shines protecting the quarterback’s backside, then dominating from the hill come Spring. The FB has been up to 89 and regularly sits in the mid-upper 80s when he is on. Crimson is coming off another 4A State Title, and a huge part of their success came on the back of Madden’s outings late in the year. High ceiling player and another big year is on the horizon.

54 Zac Beck Snow Canyon RHP
Zac heads into 2026 as a primary arm for a loaded, veteran group in Snow Canyon that expects to make another deep playoff run this Spring. With a FB in the low-mid 80s earlier this Summer, notable offseason improvements have been made as that velo took a jump by the end of Fall. The 6’ 210 lb Senior brings a strong mound presence and an attack mindset when he takes the rock. High upside arm with matching experience in-game that makes him a player you want to give the ball to in a big spot.

60 Colby Claassen Mountain Ridge RHP

Colby features one of the better breaking balls in the Class, from the standpoint of consistency and confidence with which he throws it. High spin and excellent shape with considerable depth, when he is able to land that pitch his mid 80s FB plays off of it very well. Live right arm that brings a mature approach to his game and stands to have a breakout season in 2026.

62 Ryder Ockey Lehi LHP

Ryder attended our West Coast Games last October at LMU, and really showcased his skills on the mound well. From the left side, he flashed a very mature sense of mixing speeds and how to get hitters out. He utilized all quadrants well and featured one of the nastier pitches of the event, a true Splitter that he threw in any count for strikes. Very intriguing left hander that should see plenty of innings for a loaded Lehi group in 2026.

HIGH SCHOOL POSITION
66 Gage Farr Farmington RHP
Gage has been a very intriguing arm since we watched him dominate his outing at our Summer Top Prospects Games. The FB topped 89.6 and sat 87-88 from a short, quick arm action with late life. The SL shows real potential as well to be an elite pitch, with spin rates consistently 2500+ and producing regular swing and miss. Gage is a twitchy athlete with an electric right arm, the ceiling is high and could continue to make jumps as he adds weight.

67 John Warren Alta LHP
2025 was a breakout one for John, putting together a strong year from the bump and helping lead Alta to a top 5 playoff seed in 5A. The left-hander at his best was sitting mid-upper 80s, consistently competing late into games and proving to be a reliable arm. This is the type of player who loves to pitch, and has a short term memory. I would describe him as a “bulldog”, he will throw anytime or anywhere you need him with no hesitation. Whoever gets this kid will be glad they did!

68 Gehrig Orchard Provo RHP
There is no doubt that Gehrig provides some of the highest upside of the uncommitted arms to this point. He may have one of the better overall arms in the state when you consider not only his impressive numbers from the bump, but when you add how his prowess as a QB in the Fall. He’s been one of the best throwing QBs in UT for the last few years, and that has kept his baseball talent mostly out of the spotlight. Electric right arm with a FB that has been in the upper 80s at times, and sits consistently in the mid 80s. If he decides to focus on baseball at the next level, he could end up being the biggest steal of the Class when all is said and done.

26 Austin Smith Crimson Cliffs C/1B

The 6’ 210 lb Senior battery brings present strength and consistent production to the table, and expects to have another All-State level season in 2026. His throws around 2.0 routinely and HR power to the pull side, with excellent bat to ball skills to match. Crimson brings back a strong, veteran group with hopes to go back to back in the 4A Class. If they do, it will be likely in large part due to Austin providing shutdown defense and reliable offense in the middle of the lineup all year long, again. Austin can absolutely play at the next level.

37 Hazen Elton Lehi C/UTIL

Hazen is arguably the most slept-on player in the Class, and could be one of the biggest breakout Seniors in the 2026 season. Lehi always has college talent and Hazen has waited his turn to be the guy behind the plate, and this Spring it will be. The catch and throw tool really stands out, with natural athletic actions and easy velo. The production offensively has become routine at this point during our events and in the Summer/Fall circuits. A plus runner with high physical upside, whoever gets Hazen won’t be disappointed and could be getting a future star player.

The 5’10 186 lb Senior had a strong Summer circuit and showcased well at Top Prospects Games. The pop times sit around 2.0 consistently, with his best recorded at 1.96. Offensively there is power and strength in the swing with EV up to 98. Solid overall player and we expect to have a big year for Sky View in the middle of the lineup.

An offensive threat in the middle of the order with pull side HR power, he has clear athletic upside and high level experience. Throws sit around 2.0 with his best recorded at 1.97, and he will play another crucial role for the Buffs in 2026.

Boston features a strong left-handed bat with proven production in Varsity Spring action. An athlete behind the plate with ample experience playing high level baseball makes him a versatile player that could move around defensively if needed. You can expect the improvement to continue into 2026 and bring out his best baseball in a strong Skyridge program that develops collegiate players every year.

Present strength and physicality are the themes with James, as he posted some of the more impressive metrics at our Preseason All State in 2025. His best pop was a 1.85 with 81 velo and offensively, putting up 101+ EV during the BP portion of the workout. High upside player that we are eager to see again in 2026, which could be a huge year for the Woods Cross Senior.

Trevor has made notable physical progress since the last time we saw him at Rawlings Tigers Scout Day last July. Luke is another intriguing player that bided his time behind a future college player to get his opportunity, and 2026 will be his year. We got our first look at Luke this Fall at our Top Prospects Games where he looked the part and flashed some physical upside throughout the workout, especially in BP. Ridgeline is always playing deep into May, and Luke will play a crucial role in their attempt at another strong year.

Efrain brings consistent, reliable production to the field and physical upside when you consider the athletic frame has substantial room for added growth. Throws hover around 2.0 with his best recorded at 1.97 and above average exchanges. Offensively he keeps the approach simple with a repeatable high contact swing. This offseason will be a big one for Efrain who stands to be the guy behind the plate in 2026.
