Final 2025 Rankings Update: Class of 2027
December 16, 2025
This class began their ascent into the spotlight in 2025 and the lights became even brighter once August 1st hit. Names in this class began to fly off the board as they made verbal commitments to their next-level program this fall, as we now have 37 committed players in this class. That number will continue to climb in 2026 as we forecast that our current number of 35 Division I recruits has a chance to nearly double by signing day in early November of next year. We currently see 21 Power 4 recruits on our board for the 2027 class.
This update comes after the fall tournament and showcase season, bringing a very modest update while most players remain in the tier that they were valued in prior to the fall. However, some names do see a rise after showing above expectations on the tournament circuit, and most of our most significant risers come from players who starred at our annual Fall State Games in October. Before diving into a quick overview of how the list stands now, our staff has provided a comprehensive look at position rankings, and the top uncommitted talent left on the board, which can be found at the links provided below...

With nearly three years of evaluation under our belt with this group, our staff is able to begin to see clear tiers as we set the list. While more looks (& development) allows a player to jump into a higher tier, these tiers are indicative of our staff's evaluations to date, and are far from set in stone. These tiers set the parameters for us as we put the overall list together, but it is important to understand that each tier is much closer to a horizontal build out in our minds, rather than the vertical list that ends up published with a number next to each player's name...
Star Power in the Top Five
+ Five names headline the class as our top prospects, while SS Isaiah Snavely leads the charge and continues to stand as our #1 ranked prospect for the class. His commitment to Wake Forest this fall validated the superstar potential that the Fort Wayne product holds as a rangy, athletic infielder with speed/hit/power traits from the left-side of the batters' box. A top 25 player in the USA per our Prep Baseball National rankings, Snavely will be put under the microscope even further in his junior season with the potential to be a Day 1-type prospect for the 2027 draft.

+ CF Drake McClurg, our top-ranked outfielder and another highly-regarded national recruit, holds down the #2 spot after another steady year of production. A Texas A&M recruit, McClurg brings a slam-dunk CF profile as a plus athlete with a reliable hit tool that he brings from both sides of the box. The overall power has shown steady climbs in our four-year follow with McClurg, but the safe floor established by the positional profile and hit tool brings the brunt of the value.

+ Our top two pitchers in the class LHP Davis Moore and RHP Cole Cheatham are included in this tier as they have created real separation to this point amongst their peers on the mound. Moore, a Vanderbilt recruit, and Cheatham who is committed to West Virginia, each bring the look of a potential prep draft prospect at this point in their development. 1B Grady Nelson concludes this group, an Ole Miss recruit that brings some of the country's best left-handed raw power for 2027. We have not seen an Indiana prepster drafted as a 1B in many years, but the hit/power combo that the Warsaw native brings could certainly bring pro looks over the next two season.
Contenders
While our next group features a bit larger range, all have committed to Power 4 programs to date and could easily jump into T5 consideration if specific question marks are answered...
As our lists age, our evaluations become more critical, and the top of the list quickly flips to forecasting our future draft board for the class. The next tier for our evaluations contains the players ranked overall from the No. 6 spot to the No. 13 spot, prep draft potential is well-within the realm of possibilities for all, but in total we are looking to forecast this group out at their age 21-25 season. TWP Camden Moore leads the group, a Notre Dame signee with a coveted blend of tools, in-game abilities, and pro-type body at 6-foot-5, 200-pounds. Moore was a huge winner in 2025, ascending into the Top 10 for the first time in his career after a summer circuit where he not only maintained status as one of the top power hitters in the class, but began to show the look of one of the top right-handed arms in the class. He maintains pace as the leader of this tier after a huge fall circuit that built on what we saw in the summer.

Arguably two of the best in-game players in the class follow Moore in CF/C Mason Meyer and C Cooper Collins. Each of these two prospects provide massive impact that mitigates sub-6-foot, R/R profiles. Meyer (Arizona State) does it with innate athleticism, the ability to play two middle of the diamond positions, and what I would consider as the best right-handed hit tool in the class. Collins' impact comes with what he does behind the dish, and I am comfortable in saying he has a real case to be regarded as the top prep defensive catcher in the country at this very moment. A Texas A&M signee; Collins bat will depict how high the ceiling goes, but make no mistake, the game-changing abilities he has behind the dish give him a chance to outlast every player in this class in terms of who plays this game the longest...

We stick with two projection picks in the middle of this group who round out the Top 10 in OF Clark Bucher and 3B/SS Ben Canada. Each player, while still holding a specific unanswered question, provides a true prospects' look with a real chance to continue their ascent. Bucher draws internal comparisons to 2018 1st rounder Nick Schnell at the age. The movement patterns are eerily similar to a sophomore Schnell, along with the overall profile, and if he trends in a similiar fashion to Nick as an athlete he could easily continue the ascent that began in his sophomore season. Canada brings one of the more polished hit tools in the class as a 6-foot-2, 180-pound left-handed hitter. The silky nature and bat-to-ball feel became amplified as he started to show game power in 2025, and if athleticism/strength gains continue to trend how they have the last two seasons, his name could become buzzy amongst the professional scouting community.
To conclude this tier, three of our favorite shortstops stand back-to-back-to-back. SS Liam Delp brings the most complete present day package of this trio, giving him the nod on our board as we lead into the winter. A Michigan recruit, Delp brings a highly-impactful toolset (6.56 runner, 101 showcase exits, 91 mph infield arm) along with the most game production of the group. His twitch is some of the best in class with a true ability to play three middle of the diamond positions (SS/2B/CF). Delp's Center Grove teammate and SS/P Grady Grant, a TCU commit, follows on his heels. Grant is a major pick-to-click amongst this 'already famous' group, holding immense upside as a RHP while also providing what I would consider as the best defensive skillset amongst shortstops in this class. If strength is packed on, Grant could easily come out with low-90s fastball velocities in the spring, while also loudening one of the best bat-to-ball profiles in the class. Oklahoma recruit, SS Parker Robinson, remains in this coveted tier with some buzz already behind his name amongst the scouting community - largely due to the unteachableness that lies in his athletic, 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame. The arm is the best tool here and leaves intriguing upside on the mound, but he holds well-above average abilities on the dirt that look the part of a pro-style shortstop. The bat will remain under the microscope moving forward, and he could easily jump into tier-1 consideration if he makes progress offensively with the power potential that lies within the frame.

Our next tier exists from the No. 14 overall spot to roughly the mid-30s of the overall list, with a clear group towards the top soldifying that tier of prospects. After that is really when the list becomes more of a horizontal build out on our internal board compared to the vertical nature of the list published. This classes' strength lies in three areas, 1) the top-end talent on the position player side of the ball 2) the depth of arm talent (specifically for right-handers), and 3) the overall depth of potential Divison I talent that we see in this class. All told, I could forecast a path for almost the entire top 100, and maybe even further, to a Divison I-type opportunity. Important to note, the term 'Divison-1 type' is more of a blanket term pertaining to talent, not an end-all, be-all evaluation to say that each player in this tier will end up signing to a Divison I program. The bulk of our risers in this update lie in these two groupings and are noted below :

Junior Watch List
A handful of our staff's favorite sleeper picks to make huge jumps in 2026
Keaton Miller RHP / Twin Lakes, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Projectable, 6-foot-3 right-hander who fills the zone with an easy-effort delivery. Fastball up to 86.6 mph last July with quality secondaries.
Hudson King 3B / Forest Park Jr-Sr High School, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Left-handed hitter with some real thump in the bat; 6-foot-3, 190-pounder. Upper-90s exits with a 7.14 run time last June. Posted a big statisical sophomore season for Forest Park. |
Jackson Graf OF / Noblesville High School, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Tooled-out, LHH athlete from Noblesville who could make a big impact for the Millers this spring. 6-foot-2, 180-pounder that brings a speed/power blend with triple digit exits and a 6.79 60-yard dash. |
Micah Toler OF / Heritage Hills High School, IN / 2027+ From Razorbacks Scout Day 2025: The biggest winner amongst recruitable talent, Toler began the day with a bang - turning in a 6.65 60-time. The athleticism and twitch is really beginning to blossom, allowing for CF projections, and his projectable, high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame still has plenty of room to grow. He took a solid round of batting practice, showing off a direct bat path that he used to leverage balls with authority to the pullside for big impacts when synced. There is a tendency to over-rotate that still needs cleaned up, but the projections, paired with 96-plus exits on the top-end, a 6.65 60, and an above average outfield arm (85 mph) - makes Toler a T10 uncommitted outfielder in the state's 27 group. |
Cole Reynolds SS / 3B / East Central High School, IN / 2027From Top Prospect Games 2025 - 6-foot-2, 180 pound frame stands out amongst his peers. Is a good athlete for the frame, burned a 6.99 60, and also moved well laterally in the infield with solid average actions to pair. A high school SS with a chance to stick there, though 3B feels like the best fit in the long run, the arm works on a shorter path and plays across with some carry and above average strength (85 mph). Offensively, showed a loose, upward stroke with 94+ exits and power projections likely. Plenty to like here with frame and defensive abilities establishing a safe floor. |
Brayden Walls C / Lake Central, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Major standout from the fall circuit who sees the biggest rise of any player on our 2027 board in this end-of-year update. Stuck behind upperclassmen the past two seasons for a Lake Central program who was filled with 2024-2025 talent, but made a serious impression for his 5 Star Great Lakes club this fall and at the Indiana Fall State Games. 6-foot-1, 170-pound LHH catcher with the look of a prospect and the tools to match; 98.9 mph peak exit velocity, 78 mph catcher velocity, 2.01-2.04 pops, 7.14 runner. |
Austin Conley LHP / Fishers, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Crafty lefty with a real shot of making big velo jumps next spring; already rumored to do so this fall but unverified by our staff. 3.65 career ERA in the HCC who has averaged less than 3-walks per game over his two year varsity career. |
Quinn Westerfeld OF / Western Boone Jr-Sr High School, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: 6-foot-3 projectable LHH who is a 3-sport athlete at Western Boone. The tools do not jump off the page due to a lack of present physicality; frame has the ability to hold significantly more strength. Extremely productive in both varsity baseball, and on the summer circuit, over the past two seasons. |
Jackson Treadway SS / Carmel, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: A huge pick to click candidate that reminds me in many ways of 2026 Ball State signee and SS Trey Deckman. Likely takes over at SS for Carmel this spring with the departure of JD Stein. 6-foot-2, 185-pounder with huge upside in all areas... |
Joey Ortman RHP / Roncalli High School, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: 6-foot-5, 190-pound right-hander that showed our staff flashes of a big ceiling in 2025. Easy effort movement patterns with clean, compact arm action that screams helium candidate. Up to 87 in 2025, raw in total, but reminds me in many ways of current Toledo RHP and 2024 graduate Michael Fliss. |
Isaac Gill RHP / Marian High School, IN / 2027+ Quick Snapshot: Easy-effort, 6-foot-4, 170-pound converted SS that floods the zone. If strength is packed on, and development is at the forefront this winter, he could easily go plus 3 to 5 mph on the fastball we saw up to 84 in 2025. |
Sam Gasser SS / Southridge, IN / 2027From 2025 Razorbacks Scout Day: A good-looking athlete with a wiry, high-waisted, 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame - Gasser showed some silk in batting practice with an easy effort, well-sequenced, on-plane swing that led to some jump off the barrel. He peppered the ball from gap to gap with near 95 mph exits that will likely take a step up as he adds strength. The run time will improve with strength, as well, a 7.16 runner with an easy gait and future projections make it easy to think he'll be a sub-7.00 guy at some point. Defensively, his hands are soft and couple with the athleticism and rangy nature of the body to provide the value, though his arm strength is still developing. For now, Gasser profiles as a likely 1B/LF in college, though improvements of the arm could easily keep him in the middle of the diamond, or at 3B if vast improvements are made. |
