South Texas Fall Games: Player Analysis

On Saturday, November 1st, the PB Texas staff traveled to Willis High School in Willis, TX, to host the South Texas Fall Games.
40 players made their way to Willis HS this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.
We have already released a Statistical Analysis from the event, highlighting more of the traditional statistical categories, as well as a Takeaways, highlighting some of the events top performers, while also posting Data Dives for both Pitchers and Position Players.
Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every player in attendance from the event.
ALL PROSPECTS (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)
Kash Abke, Willis (TX), 2027
Positional Profile: RHP/1B Athletic player will a ton of upside. Good mover on the field with glove action present. Shows good pop to all fields at the plate. Hit ability will come with more maturity and plate discipline. RHP: FB has good late life to it and tilt when down in zone. Shows decent breaking ball at times with some sweep and depth. Potential two way player at next level with development.
Body: 6-2, 173.2 pounds. Great build/frame to add strength in future. Width to back and shoulders. Projects well physically.
Hit: RHH. Slightly open setup with hands just above the shoulder.. Works back into even stance with hands dropping into a good hitting position and front foot strike. Weight shifts into balanced 50/50 stance. Quick hands with some pop in the bat. Barrel gets below ball because back elbow does not slot on front heel strike. Creates a loop to barrel. Solid weight shift that continues throughout swing. 70 mph bat speed with 18g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 mph max exit velocity (87.4 avg.); 373-foot max batted distance. Solid bat/power combo with power over hit now. With adjustments, has a chance to really hit.
Arm: RH. INF - 86 mph. Hand speed present. Carry to ball. Lot's of upside on arm. Can get jerky with arm swing at times when rushed.
Defense: Athletic mover. Quick feet and rangy. Glove actions present. Can get rushed at times and loses feel. Stay under control and make all accelerations late.
Athletic Testing: 6.81 runner in the 60-yard dash; 25.70-inch max vertical jump. Good runner now. Foot speed present. Can keep slight lean in upper body for last 30 yards to improve time and speed.
Delivery: Short rock step with med/high leg lift. Good tempo and rhythm working down the mound. Can create better direction in lower half toward target to finish over front side.
Arm Action: RH. Compact arm path that is jerky at times. H3/4 slot with arm speed present.
FB: T89, 86-88 mph. Has solid velo with late life. Command will improve with direction adjustments. T2229, 2070 average rpm.
SL: 73-77 mph. Decent pitch that compliments FB. Command and break will improve with direction and arm path adjustments. T2232, 2077 average rpm.
CH: 75-75 mph. Decent ASR. Good speed differential from FB. T1589, 1518 average rpm.
