The 2026 high school baseball season is quickly approaching and as usual, excitement abounds throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season, and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across Florida.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in the FHSAA state championships, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams across Florida. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews and releasing our preseason top-25 rankings in the state.

Each week, we will be releasing our Players of the Week, as well as updating our Power 25 overall rankings.

Team Strengths: Starting pitching- We return three pitchers who are 86 Plus and at times can be dominant. Our defense is excellent, and we should compete in every game, even against the best of the best!

“We play one of the toughest schedules with Calvary, Northside, Jesuit, Seminole, Nazareth (IL), CCC, IMG Black, and IMG Navy. Our pitching staff has some big-time ability and showed it this fall as we posted a 9-2 record. Carlos Marroquin RHP (87-88), Murphy Graham (87-88), Troy Burke (85-86), and Jared Samon (83-84) will get most of the work on the mound. We have a lot of seniors who have something to prove and have worked hard this fall and winter. Transfers Luke Elliot and Grayson Barlow are going to help defensively and at the plate. Sophomore Transfer Ian Fowler is electric and one of the top 2028s in the state! If we get production from potential middle of the order guys like Alex Fabelo (SR/3B) and Freshman Alec Prieto, we will go deep into the playoffs.” – Teno Geritano, head coach
