Most-Viewed Profiles of 2025: No. 9 Brandon Shannon
December 19, 2025
Coming in at our No. 9 most-viewed profile we have RHP Brandon Shannon (McHenry, 2025; Louisville commit). Shannon impressed at every single stop throughout 2025, starting at the Super 60 where he featured a mid-90s fastball, curveball/slider mix, and a dancing splitter with one of the more eclectic showings on the day.
His spring campaign was one for the record books, quite literally as he set the career wins record which was previously held by Bobby Miller (Los Angeles Dodgers), Zach Badgley and Mark Badgley. On top of setting the wins record, Shannon went a perfect 12-0 with 68.1 innings pitched, just 33 hits allowed, 111 strikeouts, only 32 walks, a 0.82 ERA and 0.95 WHIP - all while leading his team to the 4A State Championship where they would earn second place.
State Finals Start: 6/19/25: Louisville commit, currently ranked No. 6 in the state and No. 90 nationally. Projectable 6-foot-3, 182-pound frame. Started on the mound. Shannon shined Friday night as he struck out eight batters through six innings, allowing only one run. The right-hander operates from a simple, easy delivery with a high leg lift with tuck while having a tall/fall approach. Full, clean, loose arm action from a ¾ slot. His fastball explodes out of hand while sitting 92-94, topping out at 95. Has life through the zone while touching 2400 RPM. Went to a slider as his main secondary while sitting 81-83 with horizontal action. Flashed in a splitter that sat in the upper-80s. A phenomenal performance to cap off his high school career. An electric name to keep an eye on as he moves forward.
Now at Louisville, our staff is excited to follow the talented right-hander through the rest of his promising career.
