This update takes a look at a few new faces that are introduced to the rankings as a result of fall performances in front of our staff. There were a few different ways to get in front of our staff this fall and some players took advantage of those opportunities by showing extremely well in those settings. Today we take a look at ten new faces inside of this rankings update. Each player's breakdown includes notes on their specific performance and some video from those times that we saw them.

VA/DC Class of 2027: New Faces

Parker Deaner C / 2B / Jefferson Forest High, VA / 2027

The physical Jefferson Forest product took a step forward this fall and showed off the physicality on both sides of the ball. There is plenty of intent in the swing looking to do damage to the pull side. It is a natural lift in the barrel path looking to get the barrel out early. Defensively he is quick out of the crouch with above-average arm strength that makes him a real threat to manage base runners. It is a power profile all-around and with continuous development, he can continue to make an impact on the game.

Ethan Ellis SS / RHP / Menchville High, VA / 2027

It was hard not to walk away impressed with Ellis with our look this fall. It is a slim, wiry frame that works with some intent on the mound. The fastball works in the low eighties, and he showed some feel to land a quality breaking ball for strikes. The separator is the above-average kick change. It is the go-to secondary that can be used as a true weapon in his arsenal. He kills spin, and it has a late diving depth that can generate plenty of swing and misses to right-handed and left-handed hitters. As he continues to add strength to the frame, it will just help raise the bar of his arsenal.

Dani Jensen RHP / OF / BRIAR WOODS HIGH, VA / 2027

Jensen was an arm this fall that carved his way through opposing lineups with his ability to spin for strikes and locate pitches to get outs. It is a compact 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame that moves with ease. The fastball works in the mid-eighties and has some sinking action to generate ground balls. He shows feel for the slider and changeup, sequencing them to keep the opposing offense guessing. While it isn't overpowering stuff, Jensen stays within himself and plays to his strengths to have quality outings.

Parker Jones OF / 2B / Liberty Christian Academy, VA / 2027

In multiple looks this fall, Jones impressed with his ability to handle the bat. It is a balanced setup with loose hands that shows some barrel awareness and adjustability. It is line drives that work from gap to gap. Defensively he is athletic and shows some range to track down fly balls in the outfield. As he continues to add strength to the wiry frame, he could add more impact to the bat.

Xavier Todd RHP / 3B / RCHS, VA / 2027

Todd gave some quality looks on the mound, showing an aggressive mentality attacking the strike zone. He is an easy mover that throws with some late intent. It is a higher arm slot that creates some downhill deception. The fastball sits in the mid-eighties and has been up to 88; it has shown some swing and miss in the zone. The curveball has sharp, late depth that can generate some whiffs late in counts.

Camden Weeks LHP / OF / Gainesville High, VA / 2027

While the bulk of our looks at Weeks have been on the mound, he broke out on the offensive side this fall. He showed feel for the barrel and isn't afraid to spray line drives to any part of the field. There is controlled aggression in the approach, showing some early count aggressiveness with the knowledge of the strike zone. With the offensive ability he also provides value on the mound with his calm presence and the ability to throw strikes. He works into the low eighties with the fastball and can land a quality breaking ball for strikes. With the increase in offense, he just brings another thing to the table with what he does on the mound.
