With the end of the showcase season, fall baseball wrapped up, the World Series now behind us, we're heading into the true offseason. We thought it would be a good time to start up our weekly 'Recruiting Roundup' series, where we continue to highlight the prospects that committed to a collegiate program during the week. Be on the lookout each Friday for this series, or follow along on our X platform, where we announce commitments each morning. This past week was a busy one for commitments, so let's begin.

From 6/10/25: “Uncommitted. Stands in at 5-foot-9, 190-pound frame with broad shoulders, room for additional strength. Made an impact at the plate on Friday (2-for-3, HR, 3 RBI, R) and pitched a scoreless inning of relief. Stands at the plate with a slightly crouched stance and wider base. Launched a no-doubt two-run home run over the left field wall in the second inning. In the fourth, he brought in another run on a hard hit ball to left. On the mound, he offered a low-80s fastball (T83) that came with some arm-side run, and a hard-biting curveball that sat in the upper-60s - showed 11/5 bite and garnered some swing-and-miss throughout his inning of work. Uncommitted name in Illinois’ junior class.”

From 8/05/25: “LHP Aiden David (St. Patrick's, 2026) is a well-proportioned, 6-foot, 185-pound frame, David gave a good look on the mound, striking out two and allowing only two hits through his two innings. The left-hander sets up with a wide base, medium leg kick, and drop and drive motion. The arm works from a clean and quick short arm action from the ¾ slot. Dealing with a two-pitch mix, the fastball was sitting 87-89 mph, jumping out of the hand with 19.3 IVB, and the slider was 75-77 mph, with sharp break, working low and away with 2200 RPMs. When David was commanding in the zone, hitters couldn't keep up with the fastball and put on uncomfortable swings with the off-speed.”

From 3/20/25: “OF Carson Parrill (Collinsville, 2026) is an uncommitted right-handed bat from the event who was on the barrel throughout his round. Presenting a sturdy frame at 5-foot-9, 162-pounds with present strength throughout, he averaged 85.5 mph off the bat (T91.5), while flashing power with a max distance of 343 feet - which was towards the top for the event.”
