TEAM OUTLOOK

The Stagg Delta Kings head into 2026 looking to build on a solid 14–10 campaign under head coach Henry Sanchez, with speed continuing to define their identity on both sides of the ball. With seven returning starters and seven returning pitchers, Stagg brings back a roster heavy on experience, positioning the Delta Kings to play an aggressive, fast-paced brand of baseball. That continuity should allow the group to execute cleanly in tight games and pressure opponents with their athleticism.

A key piece of the returning core is 1B/RHP/C Jackson Brooks (2026), a versatile presence who gives Stagg flexibility both offensively and defensively. Brooks’ ability to contribute in multiple roles adds stability to a lineup that values speed and situational execution, while also providing innings on the mound when needed. His experience will be vital in setting the tone for a team that expects to compete throughout league play.

Looking ahead, the Delta Kings are also encouraged by the development of young talent, highlighted by C Malachi Sepulveda (2029). Sepulveda brings solid hand-eye coordination, clean footwork, plus speed, and a strong throwing arm behind the plate, signaling a promising future piece for the program. With a veteran-heavy roster complemented by emerging underclassmen, Stagg enters 2026 as a team capable of leveraging speed, experience, and depth to push toward a postseason run.

Quote from the Coach

“Given the number of returning players and how we finished last year, we expect to be contenders in the league”.
