Top-10 Profiles of 2025: No. 7 Tanner Carson

Prep Baseball Texas Staff

Checking in at No. 7 for our top profiles of 2025 is current Texas State Bobcat, INF/RHP Tanner Carson (Southlake Carroll, 2025).

The current Texas State Bobcat was one of the best two-way players in the State during his senior season at Southlake Carroll in 2025. Plenty of power in the box and a strong arm on the mound that gets him into the low 90s with a quality SL as well.

He can impact the game in a lot of ways and will be fun to watch him compete at the next level.

From 4/2/25: "Tanner Carson was a key contributor in Southlake Carroll's highly anticipated matchup against Keller. He went 4 for 8, scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 RBIs, while also closing out the game with 2 strikeouts in a clean inning to earn the save in Game 1 on Friday. Carson showed the ability to really spin the baseball, with a fastball sitting at 91 mph and a slider ranging from 82-83 mph, spinning at over 2800 rpm. His body looks great, and his best ball is still ahead of him. As a big part of Southlake Carroll’s expected deep run, Carson continues to elevate his game with each viewing."
