LOS ANGELES, CALIF. - With the chaotic summer circuit portion of the baseball calendar in the state of California completed, our staff was able to get eyes on players through Prep Baseball California events, the tournament circuit, and several other opportunities. One of the busiest periods of the year allowed our staff to observe the continued improvement/development of players in the 2027 class. With all of that visibility provided to our staff for opportunities to evaluate players over the last couple of months, we present our updated Class of 2027 Player Rankings.
With the continued exposure provided this fall for our staff to the 2026 class we saw quite a bit of change across the rankings. From movement within the Top 100 players in the class, players moving into the Prep Baseball National Rankings and others making their Top 100 debuts (movement up the board or newcomers to the rankings) through their summer performances.
Beyond the Top 100, we have seen several players continue their rise up the rankings and several players coming into the rankings for the first time after this summer. This entire class is now prepping for their JR. seasons of high school baseball with the spring rapidly approaching.
The recruiting process for this class is now fully underway with a large chunk of the top players in this class selecting their college destinations and plenty of talent across the state still on the board. Also, this class is starting to see more attention from MLB organizations tracking their development/performance well ahead of the 2027 MLB draft.
Below you'll find the Top 10, Top 10 Uncommitted Players, along with notes on Rankings Risers and Ranking Newcomers.

CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: RISERS
TOP-100 RISERS:
+ SS/2B Jordan Kurz - Orange Lutheran HS - South Carolina Comit - Now Ranked: 25 Previoius: 28
Kurz debuted on the rankings in fall of 2024 at number 24. He held pretty steady in that range for an extended period of time. But, a slower Soph. season of opportunities to compete playing on a stacked Orange Lutheran varsity program brought a small backslide on our board. Now after a strong summer showing moved him right on the cusp of the Top 25 his steady fall showing with very positive reports coming in to State Director Les Lukach on him Kurz makes another move up the board. Now heading into his Jr. campaign with a chance to figure prominently in the Lancers offensive/defensive plans he returns to the Top 25 and with another strong showing of his abilities could bring another rise.
+ C Carson Kinnick - Upland HS - Mississippi State Commit - Now Ranked: 38 Previous: 48
Kinnick is another LH hitter out of SoCal who has seen a rapid assent up our boards, but this rise is as much for what he does catching behind the dish as it is for what he does in a batters box. Carson showed well at our IE Preseason ID in Feb. 2025 and carried into a strong Soph. season that earned him a spot on the Brewers Area Code squad. His performance at Area Codes earned him his debut on the board inside the Top 50 players and as he continued to develop on a strong present foundation this fall Kinnick picked up a commitment to Mississippi State and 10 more spots up our board placing him amongst the Top 3 backstops in the state.
+ 1B Jake Kim - Harvard Westlake HS - UCLA Commit - Now Ranked: 28 Previous: 46
The only thing louder than the rise of Jake Kim during this 2025 calendar year is the sound of a baseball coming of his LH bat. The operation in the batters and his strength from line to line is an eye-opening toolset for the Harvard Westlake product. After an electric showing in Georgia at the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games vaulted him onto our rankings board at 46 the offensive profile for Jake Kim has not let up during the fall hammering baseballs any opportunity he has had to get in a batters box. Fresh off a commitment to the West Coast powerhouse UCLA program he moves 19 spots up our boad on the cusp of the Top 25.
+ LHP Luke Armijo - La Mirada HS - Texas Commit - Now Ranked: 33 Previous: 57
Armijo was a famous name after his Fr. season at La Mirada where he saw significant time on varsity for a CIF-SS D1 playoff squad. That profile had him hovering amongst the Top 30 players in the state heading into his Soph. season, but scuffles during high school pushed him in the opposite direction heading into the summer. After improving his feel to control the strike zone again, seeing an upward tick in his velocity now in the low 90's via reports to Lukach and a commitment to the powerhouse Texas program Armijo is headed back in the right direction moving amongst the Top 50 players in the state again. The OC based southpaw is primed for a spring season that could push him back up the board further with the positive developments coming in the later part of 2025 heading into 2026.
+ RHP Charlie Fuller - Mater Dei HS - Oklahoma State Commit - Now Ranked: 38 Previous: 51
Fuller is another piece of what is a rapidly growing 2027 players from the state of California committed to Oklahoma State. An athletic mover on the mound with a clean delivery, arm speed, now velocity that projects for more in the future and feel for his offspeed arsenal he looks the part of a potential weekend arm for the Pokes. His showing at Area Codes in summer 2025 put him on our board just outside the top 50 and then over the fall has only continued to bring positive reviews into our staff that results in a 13 spot move up our board. His move into the Trinity League to join a strong Mater Dei HS program for 2026 gives him plenty of opportunities to make the next move up our board.
+ RHP Ben Lewis - Santiago HS - Oklahoma State Commit - Now Ranked: 47 Previous: 62
Lewis is another piece of the Oklahoma State 2027 California recruiting class who is highly regarded by Associate Director SoCal Steven Hardesty after his first look at him over MLK Weekend in 2024. From that first viewing the Inland Empire righthander has delivered on the potential seen during that short look to develop into a frontline arm for the Santiago HS program. Now boasting low 90's velocity, intriguing offspeed offerings, clean actions in his delivery/arm path and plenty of more to project in his frame he keeps eliciting positive reviews and makes a 15 spot jump up the board inside the Top 50 players in the state.
+ OF Tyler Vladic - Cypress HS - Oregon Commit - Now Ranked: 48 Previous: 58
Vladic made a rapid ascent up our board during the 2024 calendar year when he was a Fr. at Cypress High School in Orange County after a star turn at the 2024 SoCal Preseason All State Underclass. Debuting at 83 that year he hit his way to the 53 spot in that year. Vladic made a bit of a slide in the early portion of the 2025 calendar year, but then the bat and athleticism for him clicked during the summer heading into the fall. With a high level feel to hit, sneaky good impact after contact, upward trending athletic ability that looks like he can man a CF/RF spot at the next level everything for Tyler is heading in a positive direction. He picks up 10 more spots on our board for his first appearance inside the Top 50 spots in the class at 48.
+ RHP Noah Lemau - Home School - Cal Commit - Now Ranked: 49 Previous: 54
The NorCal product may not compete during the high school season yet as he is home schooled, but his time with the Alpha Travel Baseball program has steadily moved him up our board. With a FB that now reaches consistently to the low 90's from an athletic operation Lemau draws tremendous reviews from Associate Director NorCal Hank LoForte about his now profile, but also his future potential. He picked up a commitment to Cal this fall and continues to look the part of a potential weekend arm for the Bears in the future while moving five more spots up our board.
+ SS/RHP Colton Hadfield - Valley Christian HS - UCLA Commit - Now Ranked: 50 Previous: 55
Hadfield has had a bit of a rollercoaster ride on our rankings board similar to some other players. He debuted in the number 40 spot heading into his Fr. season at Valley Christian High School in NorCal. Playing in a highly talented program and in the likely best high school league in NorCal has provided some challenges and successes for the two-way product which is seen in his shifting around our board. But, after a strong showing this summer with Team NorCal at the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games that carried into his fall calendar Hadfield is headed upwards. He now has reached the 92-93 MPH range with his FB while still looking the part of a potential left side of the INF defender who has potential with his bat. The overall profile picked up a very recent commitment to UCLA making him the third member of a California Future Games team to commit to the Bruins and Hadfield moves five more spots up our board.
+ SS Brady Bickham - Damien HS - Georgia Tech Commit - Now Ranked: 51 Previous: 59
Bickham catapulted onto our rankings board in the number 44 spot in February of 2025 after a standout showing of his tools at the Central California Preseason All State. After a solid Soph. season for Damien High School with flahses of his offensive and defensive potential as a top of the order bat and SS he made a small slide backwards to the 59 spot. Bickham was excellent playing on the Scout Ball circuit here in Southern California seeing time with both the Brewers and Royals squads. His overall present ability earned him a commitment to Georgia Tech in the later part of the fall and he heads into his Jr. season for Damien as a name to keep tabs on for another rise up this board come the summer time potentially back inside the Top 50.
+ RHP/INF Andrew Weber - Upland HS - Baylor Commit - Now Ranked: 54 Previous: 60
Weber is another member of Team SoCal at the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games to build on his solid showing in Georgia over the fall circuit. He toed the rubber for the Braves squad in the SoCal Scouts Association Fall League on top of making appearances on the travel baseball circuit. The steadily solid to strong showings by Weber of his low 90's velocity, intriguing feel to spin the baseball and sound control of the K zone were on display. As well, Weber flashes power as a RH hitter with middle of the order thump in his bat, but is likely destined for a longer career toeing a rubber. He committed to Baylor University this fall and sees a solid six spot move up the board to the cusp of the Top 50.
+ SS/RHP Nolan Riesenberg - Culver City HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 71 Previous: 78
Riesenberg is another two-way product who provides intereseting ability on each side of the game for a potential role at the next level. He is an athletic mover who has showed a strong feel to hit with an up the middle defensive profile as a position player from a wiry athletic frame. Mix in a FB that now is routinely finding itself in the low 90's range ahead of his Jr. season at Culver City, sound offspeed mix and starter profile as a pitcher he gives you plenty to love on the bump. No matter your preference for where Riesenberg profiles best for the next level he has the ability to be a prominent piece for a college program and jumps seven more spots up our board inside the Top 75 players now.
+ SS Brady Guth - Mater Dei HS - Oklahoma State Commit - Now Ranked: 74 Previous: 91
Guth boasts loud arm strength, emerging physicality in his frame and some intereseting thump in his RH bat and is headed towards another season as a prominent piece of the Mater Dei HS program in spring. This fall he joined a stacked group of California products in the 2027 class to make their commitment to Oklahoma State. All of the reports coming in on the continued development of an already strong profile for Guth are that he keeps getting better as a defender, hitter, athlete and more helping to push im 17 more spots up our board now back inside the Top 75 players in the state.
+ INF Shane D'Arcy - JSerra HS - UC Irvine Commit - Now Ranked: 80 Previous: 102
D'Arcy is a hitterish LH bat out of the Trinity League who has done nothing, but hit at a high level across live looks for Les Lukach, Steven Hardesty and via reports coming in on his offensive profile. This fall saw him hammer the baseball at a consistent level while picking up a commitment to the mid-major power program UC Irvine of the Big West. He makes his debut amongst the Top 100 after sitting just on the cusp at the close of the summer. Where his defensive profile eventual lands will go a long way in determining how high eventually this JSerra product can move up this board, but make no mistake a LH hitter with his type of ability has the offensive profile alone to stay amongst the Top 100.
+ SS/2B Damian Cordero - Aquinas HS - Cal Baptist Commit - Now Ranked 83 Previous: 93
Cordero was a standout at Yucaipa High School when he jumped on our board amongst the Top 50 players in the state. He slide back slightly over the past year less due to his performance, but the development of others around him. This fall though was a statement fall for Cordero ahead of his Jr. season at Aquinas High School. He hammered the baseball during the SoCal Scouts Association Fall League playing for the Reds squad, he hammered the baseball playing with the Aquinas High School program in the fall scrimmage circuit and for good measure he made the trip to Antelope Valley College to participate in the High Desert Uncommitted Game where yet again he hammered the baseball. With a high level offensive profile, upward trending athleticism/strength in his frame and sound defense on the INF dirt on display this fall Cordero makes a 10 spot move back up our board and don't be surprised if we see him continue to climb again come next summer. In addition, Cordero made his commitment to Cal Baptist University in the later part of the fall.
+ OF Trey Howell-Chase - Rio Americano HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 96 Previous: 104
The athleticism of Trey Howell-Chase continues to rise him up our board. A three-sport standout who plays not only baseball, but is a high level soccer player and basketball player Trey joined Team NorCal at the 2025 Prep Baseball Future Games. His solid showing out there with flashes of his potential impact both as a defender and hitter put him just outside the cusp of the Top 100. Now as the fall has progressed on his athletic ability has been on display in his athletic ventures outside a baseball diamond, but the skills that make him a high level baseball player have continued to improve in the reports coming into Hank LoForte which cements a eight spot rise into the Top 100 in the 96 spot.
+ LHP Colin DiRocco - JSerra HS - South Carolina Commit - Now Ranked: 98 Previous: 111
DiRocco jumped on our board in the Fall of 2024 after a solid bullpen session for Steven Hardesty in the summer of 2024. With limited opportunities to showcase his ability playing in a strong JSerra Catholic program out of the Trinity League in 2025 he saw a bit of backslide. This fall though DiRocco quickly jumped back on the radar especially with another strong showing for Hardesty in the SoCal Scouts Association Fall League for the Dodgers squad. With high quality stuff, a projectable frame, now arm strength with room to improve there is so much to love about the profile for DiRocco. The OC southpaw commmitted to the University of South Carolina this fall and finds himself back in the Top 100 players in the state with arrow pointed upwards on his future.
+ SS/2B Sebastian Navarro - Mater Dei HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 99 Previous: 106
Navarro was a key piece of the Monarchs lineup and defense in 2025 as they made a run to the CIF-SS Division 2 championship game. The sparkplug offensive profile he showcased that spring earned him a trip to the Central California Future Games Tryout where he showed well putting him on the cusp of the Top 100 in the 106 spot. Twitchy and athletic Navarro will stick up the middle long term with enough athleticism/arm ability to project a future at SS and he showed it off this fall with the reports coming into Les Lukach, plus his bat has started to flash more consistency on the sneaky thump it possesses on top of a sound hit tool. Navarro rises inside the Top 100 ahead of his Jr. high school season.
10 NAMES TO KNOW OUTSIDE-TOP-100 RISERS:
+ 3B Kai Carson - Linfield Christian HS - Nevada Reno Commit - Now Ranked: 104 Previous: 146
Carson opened the eyes of Steven Hardesty during the summer circuit with a standout showing at the West Coast Program Invite held at Great Park in Irvine, California. Playing under the tutelage of Gary Padgett at Linfield Christian High School this fall continuing his development as a defender and hitter Carson's profile ticked steadily upwards. He has brought rave reviews in on his present ability and future upside which culminated with a recent commitment to the University of Nevada-Reno and pushes him 42 spots up our board to the cusp of the Top 100.
+ OF Patrick Foster - San Marcos HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 111 Previous: 118
Foster is a two-year starter at San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, California where he put together an electric Soph. season and strong summer showing in front of our staff to rise to the 118 spot. Now after a fall of looks for Steven Hardesty at the continued upward development to his offensive profile, legitimate CF defensive profile with his showings on the fall circuit/workouts and slowly starting to add strength to a wiry athletic frame he pops up seven more spots on this board.
+ SS/CF Nick Gonzales - Highland HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 141 Previous: 151
Gonzales is a compact built, athletic mover with emerging strength out of the High Desert region of Southern California who stood out throughout the 2025 calendar year. Gonzales showed well at the Central California Preseason All State for both Hardesty/LoForte, hammered the ball in a live look for Hardesty during high school season, and the capped his views for our staff with a standout showing at the High Desert Uncommitted Game in front of Hardesty, Lukach and Vinnie Alfino. An up the middle profile defender who can run and flashes the arm strength for either SS or CF, the bat speed and feel to hit to profile at the top of a lineup Gonzales is an upward trending profile who gains 10 spots on our board.
+ C Ryan Burgess - Bakersfield Christian HS - Cal Baptist Commit - Now Ranked: 145 Previous: 251
Burgess slid into the backend of our rankings after a strong workout at the Area Code Tryouts for the Brewers squad in front of both Hardesty and Vinnie Alfino. His work behind the plate, strength in his swing and prototype strong catchers build was enough to warrant a spot on the board. Every since then nothing, but positive reviews have come in on the Bakersfield based backstop. From the way he works behind the plate, the arm talent he possesses as a thrower to the upside in his offensive ability Burgess has drawn high praise as Hardesty has dug deeper into his profile. With a commitment to Cal Baptist this fall and a strong review on him we bring Burgess way up our board into the 145 spot and he has made himself a must see player in the spring for Hardesty.
+ OF Abraham Ramirez - Saugus HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 153 Previous: 210
Ramirez saw full time playing time for the Saugus squad manning RF and hitting near the middle of their order. Over two looks for Hardesty in the spring season he stood out in a variety of ways for Hardesty including a tremendous HR robbery catch to clinch an opening day win for the Centurions. His spring season got him on our board outside the Top 200. This fall he made the trip down to the OC Fall ID to showcase in front of not only Hardesty, but to get a live look from State Director Les Lukach and San Diego based scout Vinnie Alfino. Ramirez did not disappoint drawing rave reviews from the trio of evaluators for his athletic ability, OF defensive workout, loud batting practice session and frame which has packed significant strength onto it since the spring. Ramirez will be in attendance at the Los Angeles Preseason All State event in January where he has a chance to break into the Top 150 in future updates as he moves up 57 spots now to 152 after the fall portion of the calendar.
+ OF Stone Saunders - Dos Pueblos HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 154 Previous: 177
Saunders made his debut at the conclusion of the high school season after a trio of live looks for Steven Hardesty, where the CF defender flashes legitimate impact defensive potential at the spot and an interesting top of the order offensive skill set. Saunders is dynamic runner who shows burst with athleticism in his foot speed to show high level range in the OF and create chaos on the bases. His swing was more bat to ball with a strong understanding of the strike zone on display in those live looks. This fall, Hardesty got an early look at the Dos Pueblos program and the profile for Saunders has trended directly up at the plate with improved bat speed, better path through the zone to create leverage/hard contact in the air and for good measure even looked a tick faster running around. Athletically built Saunders appeared to have added 10+ lbs of strength to his frame and those gains combined with what he showed in the live look moves him 23 spots up our board to the cusp of the Top 150.
+ OF Danny De La Torre - Corona HS - Arizona State Commit - Now Ranked: 162 Previous: 203
De La Torre is a powerful RH bat out of the Inland Empire who has showed intriguing raw power in the past for our staff to put himself on our board just outside the Top 200. Over the summer and fall the raw power for De La Torre begain to show up at a consistent rate in game action with his improvements as a hitter. The bat for De La Torre is his present carrying tool, but that doesn't mean he lacks for ability on the defensive side as he looks the part of solid corner OF defender with solid arm strength and a positive trend to his athletic ability. De La Torre moves up 41 spots on our board while adding a Arizona State commit to his profile and is eyeing a move into the Top 150 or higher in the future.
+ OF Elijah Alvarez - Norco HS - CSUN Commit - Now Ranked: 163 Previous: 173
Alvarez was dynamic this summer at the 2025 California State Games where the entirety of our staff got a sound look at his well rounded profile. The Norco High School product is a piece of an uber talented squad that has brought plenty of attention from college coaches this fall and with his time playing for the GBG travel baseball program. His performance this fall backed up the strong showing he put together at State Games with an upward trend to each of his solid tools to pick himself up a commitment to CSUN. Alvarez makes an 10 spot push up the rankings and is eyeing a strong Jr. season in the Big 8 League to continue his upward trend.
+ C Cruz Rodriguez - Chaminade College Prep - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 182 Previous: 252
Rodriguez has generated quite a bit of buzz for Hardesty in his region of California on the upside for his strong catchers frame and interesting collection of tools. The combination of video views on Rodriguez and the positive buzz Rodriguez got him on our board in Fall of 2024, but our staff finally got eyes on his talent in the Fall of 2025 at the OC Fall ID. Rodriguez did not disappoint during his showing there with strong tools at the plate, behind the plate throwing the baseball/receiving in bullpens and for good measure an interesting bullpen session. The confirmation of his tools and ability push Rodriguez up our board into the Top 200. With a solid to strong season for Chaminade this spring in the Mission League provides an oppportunity for future upward movement.
+ SS/2B Trevor Chang - Calabasas HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 196 Previous: 211
Chang is following in the footsteps of some strong performers by handling the SS position at Calabasas High School with the last two members to hold this spot now playing D1 baseball at UCLA and Cal Poly-SLO respectively. Chang acquitted himself well to the spot during the spring season with flashes of his ability helping to propel the Coyotes program a CIF-SS D3 playoff berth. The summer circuit was sound for Chang playing with A1B and looking solid in front of Lukach and Hardesty at the West Coast Program Invite. But, this fall Chang capitalized on an opportunity to compete at the 2025 West Coast Games in front of the SoCal based Prep Baseball California evaluator staff in Lukach, Hardesty and Alfino. Over the three days mixed between Loyola Marymount University and Mira Costa High School Chang was a steady performer on the INF dirt and at the plate. Wiry athletic build with room to fill strength and trend his solid profile upwards Trevor bumps up 15 spots inside the Top 200 players in California.
CLASS OF 2027 RANKINGS: NEWCOMERS
TOP-100 NEWCOMERS:
+ OF/RHP Dalton Deadman - Petaluma HS - UCSB Commit - Now Ranked: 62
Deadman debuts inside our Top 100 after a strong fall of reports coming into Associate Director NorCal Hank LoForte on the ability for the two-way product. A LH hitter with 6.6 run speed Deadman looks every bit the part of a top of the order chaos ensuing bat and impact potential defender CF with his twitchy athletic ability that covers immense swaths of OF grass. All of this was on display during the Bay Area Fall ID when LoForte got a good look at the toolset for Deadman and vaults him on our board in the number 62 spot with every bit of the talent to move into the Top 50 in the future. Deadman recently capped his 2025 calendar year by announcing his verbal comittment to UCSB.
10 NAMES TO KNOW OUTSIDE-TOP 100 NEWCOMERS:
+ C Justin Martinez - Alhambra HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 109
Martinez jumps onto our board just outside the Top 100 for his debut after a strong 2025 calendar year. It started with a spring season showing off his catching profile handling the high octane arm of Cameron Millar during his run to the MLB draft. Then he earned himself a spot on the Athletics Underclass Area Code team where he showed solid ability again behind the dish. This fall was no different as he continued to showcase his solid overall defensive profile with room to become a strong/potential impact defender, while showing a sound LH stick. A strong Jr. season for Martinez can push into the Top 100 in the future and cement him as one of the top backstops to know in the NorCal region.
+ INF Drew Asadorian - Acalanes HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 116
Asadorian is another standout from the Bay Area Fall ID where the LH hitter put together a strong performance across the board. With strength in his swing he has routinely produced EVs north of 100 MPH and is highly regarded by the reports LoForte has gotten on him outside of the Bay Area Fall ID. Power is not the only tool that Asadorian shows in a batters box, but has demonstrated a strong feel to hit that gives him middle to top of the order potential as a hitter while looking like a solid INF defender. He makes his way onto our boad just outside the Top 100 and has the potential to jump up this board with continued strong showings.
+ INF Stafford Johnson - Temecula Valley HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 121
Johnson was seen by both Lukach and Alfino during the spring season with flashes of his ability showing up during those live looks Then again during the 2025 West Coast Games Johnson put together a solid three days of performance that cemented his jump onto our board. He is solid hitter from the LH side who flashes bat speed with quickness in his hands to spray line drives around the field showing a hit over power profile while looking like a long term 2B/3B defender with clean actions.
+ RHP/INF Carson Garcia - Redwoods HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 136
Garcia has shown off a solid two-way profile over the course of two events this year for our staff. He started with a strong showing at the 2025 California State Games in front of the entirety of our staff and then returned for the Visalia Wolfpack/Chamberlin Academy Scout Day in front of LoForte and Hardesty. Garcia shows off strength in his RH swing with EVs north of 90 MPH and intrigue on the mound with a FB peaking at 86. He mixed in the foundation of a trio of solid offspeed offerings at the scout day and the entirety of his profile earns him a spot on our board amongst the Top 150 in the class.
+ C/OF Logan Miller - Mater Dei HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 151
Miller is knocking on the door of a breakout potential spring and it was evidenced with his solid showing at the SoCal Uncommitted Game held during October at Cypress College. After a spring on varsity during his Soph. season where he got 12 starts he continued to get better including a strong fall on the travel ball circuit with the Padres Scout Team. Logan stands 6'1 weighing 191 lbs. with solid strength throughout and looks the part of a long term backstop with strong defensive potential. With hand speed and strength at plate he shows mid 90's EVs and there is plenty of reason to anticipate more as he polishes his offensive ability. Jumping on our board in the Top 150 should Miller take over the full time spot behind the dish for a strong Mater Dei program and put together a strong spring season in the Trinity League he has the potential to make a loud rise up the board in the future.
+ 1B Dylan Yencho - Laguna Beach HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 155
Yencho hails from the Orange County region playing at the solid Laguna Beach program. Somewhat unheralded to our program prior to this fall not due to a lack of ability, but rather no previous opportunities to get eyes on the 6'2 213 lbs. RH hitting 1B. That all changed this fall with a dynamic showing off his offensive potential during the Inland Empire Fall ID held at Corona High School where Yencho bashed the ball around the yard. Peak north of 103 MPH on his EV, averaging north of 96 MPH on his EVs, crushing a nearly 390' drive and producing a 86% hard hit rate the batted ball data for Yencho opens your eyes quickly. His defensive profile is limited to 1B long term likely, but the bat will play and give middle of the order impact both now and in the future. Yencho debuts just outside the Top 150.
+ OF Hudson Chase - Brentwood HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 165
Chase plays on the smaller high school level at Brentwood High School, but has shown himself solidly over the summer/fall in front of our staff at the Future Games Tryout: Malibu and the High Desert Uncommitted Game. Athletically built at 6'2 165ish lbs. there is a lot to like about the build/projection for Chase and his sound overall toolset from the OF/RH batters box. Chase demonstrates impact at the plate with mid 90's EVs, consistent solid contact with an average of 88 MPH and carry to his pullside witha 350' max distance. There is still polish needed to his profile to reach his ceiling as a player, but the foundation of what Chase has shown our staff brings him onto the board in the 165 spot.
+ SS/2B Ryan Lujan - Rocklin HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 169
Lujan popped in front of Hank LoForte during the fall period of the year with an excellent showing at the NorCal Uncommitted Game. During the course of the day the Rocklin High School middle infielder showed off an athletic defensive profile that will stick there long term with 6.9 foot speed and mid 80's arm strength. But, it was his bat that really stood out with EVs north of 100 MPH, max distances over 370' to the pull side, a 75% sweet spot rate and intriguing swing metrics. His overall profile is strong and LoForte has received high praise in reports from the Rocklin staff and others on Lujan who debuts inside the Top 175 in California.
+ SS/2B Brayden Stewart - Santa Margarita Catholic HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 183
Stewart will be looking to make his mark on the varsity level for the first time this spring with the Santa Margarita Catholic program in the Trinity League. But, before the spring rolls around the RH hitting INF made his mark on a trio of SoCal evaluators in Lukach, Hardesty and Alfino during his showing at the SoCal Uncommitted Game. His performance there was a continuation of what had been a solid fall across the board for Stewart and puts himself in a strong position ahead of his Jr. season.
+ RHP Jackson Gray - Del Oro HS - Uncommitted - Now Ranked: 204
Gray has produced strong reports for Hank LoForte over the fall portion of the year with his work at Del Oro High School and the NorCal travel baseball program. A mid 80's arm who gets there with a clean easy delivery that projects starter like traits when he thows. Then mix in a strong feel for throwing strikes and Gray continues to show plenty of quality traits to like in the 2027 class. His debut on our rankings board comes just outside the Top 200 with potential for a rise in the future as he develops.
