On Sunday, January 26th, the PB California staff traveled to Ohlone JC in Freemont, CA, to host the Northern California Preseason All-State, an invite-only event for the class of 2025-2028.

TOP-5 CATCHERS

1. Masen Belding C / 1B / Del Oro, CA / 2026

Positional Profile: C
Body: 6-2, 226 pounds. Big frame, broad shoulders, strong lower half.
Hit: LHH. Easy swing with loose hands, gradual load, shorter stride. Shorter path to the ball, quick bat, possesses slight lift. 71 mph bat speed with 21g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 101 mph max exit velocity (90.3 avg.); 365-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. C - 79.00 mph. Short, 3/4 slot, ball possesses carry.
Defense: 2.03-2.07 pop time range; Quick out of crouch, natural look, easy and confident throw.
Athletic Testing: 7.61 runner in the 60. 1.83 and 4.22 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 20.20 max vertical.
