Boise Preseason ID: Quick Hits
February 25, 2025
BOISE, ID - The Boise Preseason ID was held on Sunday, February 23rd at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, ID. This event was an open event that consisted of prospects from the 2025-2028 classes to update their profiles with relevant data heading into the 2025 High School Season. These players went through extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast Motion, ran the 60-Yard Dash using VALD Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw in simulated bullpens during the workout and were able to get numbers and metrics off of our Trackman unit, such as pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more. There were some players who showed up and continued to build off of prior performances, but there were also some new names who jumped onto our radar with a strong showing on Saturday morning.
We begin our post event coverage of the Idaho Falls Preseason ID with the Quick Hits. The Prep Baseball Idaho Staff broke down the players who made an immediate impression at the event with more highlights to come over the next week.

Andre Mora 1B / 3B / Canyon Ridge, ID / 2025
The senior got the Boise Preseason ID started with a loud batting practice session that saw him put up a massive 99.2 mph TracMan Exit Velocity with a more polished set up in the box that saw him put up multiple personal bests. On the Defensive side of the ball, his actions off and around the bag at 1B were much smoother with feel for the pick play and improved footwork throuhgout. With obvious added strength and now back to full health, you can expect Mora to have big Spring for Canyon Ridge. |

Seth Hecox C / OF / Mountain View, ID / 2026The Mountain View junior announce is presence at his first Prep Baseball event with an impressive batting practice session that saw him produce one of the Top Exit Velocities of 96.1 mph along with one of the Top Average Exit Velocities of 86.2 mph on a tough weather day. To go with his impressive offensive performance, Hecox showed off that he could get it done on the defensive side of the ball as well with a Prep Baseball Verified 1.97 Pop Time to go with his improved receiving skill. Hecox is primed for a big Spring season for the Mavericks. |

Jeremiah Keithley 1B / OF / Middleton, ID / 2025Keithley has been a consistent producer at each Prep Baseball event he has attended and the Boise Preseason ID was no different as he put up some big offensive numbers with a 95.9 mph TrackMan Exit Velocity, while also earning the event’s Top Average Exit Velocity of 88.0 mph. At 1B, we have seen his athleticism shine through over the last year with improved actions off and around the bag while presenting a quality target as he now stands at a Prep Baseball Verified 6-foot-5, 228.3 pound. Keep Keithley on your radar this Spring as a potential breakout candidate for Middleton. |

Tav Hiaring C / 2B / Mountain View, ID / 2027Hiaring has continued to ascend as not only one of the top 2027 catchers in Idaho, but should be in the conversation as one of the top catchers in the state regardless of class. The catch and throw actions have always been there, but now with his obvious added size and strength, we see his Pop Times continue to trend with a new personal best of 1.93. One the offensive side, the consistent barrels prove the work he has put in is now coming to fruition with a loud batting practice session with much more expected to come. Keep Hiaring on your radar as a potential impact player for Mountain View this Spring. |

Cooper Schneidt SS / 2B / MOUNTAIN VIEW HIGH SCHOOL, ID / 2028In the few months since we saw Scheidt last, he has added significant size and strength to his Prep Baseball Verified 5-foot-10 (and growing) frame as he weighed in at 182.8. The proportionate strength throuhgout his frame helped him put up multiple new personal bests including an event best 88 mph along with an improved Bat Speed and Hands Speed that will only continue to help him produce big offensive numbers. The freshman has the present IQ and actions to make an impact early in his High School career. This will be one to watch in Idaho’s 2028 Class for years to come. |

Carson Cyganik C / 1B / Vallivue, ID / 2027Cyganik is another prospect that has continued to put up big numbers, especially on the defensive side of the ball where he posted an event best Pop Time of 1.90 as well as the event’s Top Catcher Velocity of 75 mph. The area we saw the Vallivue product see his game progress the most would be at the plate where his swing looks more consistent and confident with barrels being produced throuhgout his round. As a 2027, this another player that we expect to continue making serious jumps over the next few years. |

Beckham Hatfield SS / RHP / Mountain View, ID / 2028The 2028 put his name on the radar at the Boise Preseason ID with advanced defensive actions that were on full display with offensive side still developing as he continues to mature and add physical strength and size. Hatfield put together one of the top defensive showings with present confidence through the ball as well as feel for both the forehand and backhand plays. At just 5-foot-7, 140.7 pounds, there is ton of projection on this freshman and we look forward to seeing that progress take shape over the next few years. |
