Overall Summary

Roseburg enters the 2026 season as one of several teams competing in the 6A Southwest league coming off of a strong season. The Indians return several mainstays from their lineup a season ago, headlined by junior INF Cal Robbins. The righty hit in the three hole last season and can do a little bit of everything on the field. 1B/RHP Danner Wertz made an early impact as a freshman and looks to be one of the major pieces as he enters his sophomore campaign. The physical 6'4 athlete has power potential at the plate and will likely be asked to throw a bulk of the innings on the mound. Elsewhere in the lineup, senior Lewis-Clark State commit Paxton Burke will return to the top of the order as the shortstop. Junior AJ Black and senior Amos Bowers also return as upperclass experience. Roseburg has a pair of freshman to keep an eye on as potential varsity contributors in Dylan Gregory and Christian Korba. Both are Prep Baseball Junior Future Games alums who offer two-way ability. Korba in particular may be asked to pitch early on, in an effort to fill the void of graduated player Jake Johnson. Games against South Salem, Grants Pass and North Medford highlight the 2026 schedule for the Indians. Look for Roseburg to once again be a competitive 6A side this spring.
