5A Northeast Regional: Topeka
After downing Highland Park on Tuesday Shawnee Heights (18-4) beat Leavenworth (10-12) in the Northeast Regional final 4-2 on Wednesday at Bettis Sports Complex in Topeka.
+ Heights was led offensively in the championship game by junior SS Dawson Pomeroy (2-for-4) while Casey Whulfkuhle drove in two runs.
