Texas Christian made a big splash this week with 2016 3B/RHP Cal Coughlin (Lake Forest HS, IL) committing to the Horned Frogs. Coughlin is a legitimate two-way prospect with a power bat from both sides of the plate and fastball that can get into the low 90s. As Sean Duncan pointed out yesterday, this isn’t the first time TCU has dipped its hand into the Lake County cookie jar. LHP Alex Young, a 2012 graduate of Carmel Catholic HS, IL) is currently on the Horned Frogs roster, as is Libertyville C Evan Skoug, a 2014 graduate. Coughlin’s high school teammate, 2017 OF Brad Czerniejewski, verbally committed to TCU last month.
