North Carolina Player of The Week - Part of Prep Baseball's Comprehensive Coverage
Throughout the 2025 North Carolina high school baseball season, Prep Baseball NC and its dedicated staff will provide extensive coverage of all aspects of the sport across the state. Our coverage will feature Inside the Box, a daily scoreboard, live scouting at high school games, a maintained Heat Sheet, and ongoing tracking of standout player performances.
Each week, our scouting staff will analyze box scores, consult with high school coaches, college recruiters, and professional scouts to select the Player and Pitcher of the Week. Coaches will have the opportunity to nominate players from their teams for consideration. The recipients of these awards will be announced every Tuesday throughout the spring season.
2025 Prep Baseball NC High School Coverage
North Carolina Player of the Week: March 3 - 8, 2025
Several hitters delivered standout performances during Week 2 of the North Carolina high school baseball season, but Leyton Guhl distinguished himself as the offensive leader for Carmel Christian School, propelling his team to three victories.
Guhl was a force at the plate, collecting nine hits, including three doubles and a home run. He also scored 10 runs and drove in seven, consistently providing a spark for his team’s offense.
One of his most dominant performances came against Piedmont, where Guhl helped power Carmel Christian to an explosive 26-run outburst. He went a perfect 5-for-5, recording three extra-base hits and driving in four runs.
For his outstanding performance, Leyton Guhl has been named the Prep Baseball NC Player of the Week for March 3 – 8, 2025.
