After a strong 2023 high school baseball season, Prep Baseball Report has announced its Player of the Year in each state. Last year, Hewitt-Trussville's Riley Quick took home the honors of PBR Alabama Player of the Year. This year, the honor goes to OF Coleman Mizell, an Alabama signee and the No. 1-ranked prospect in the 2023 class in AL.

2023 PBR ALABAMA PLAYER OF THE YEAR

OF Coleman Mizell (Hartselle, 2023) is the 2023 PBR Alabama Player of the Year. Mizell, an Alabama signee, attends Hartselle High School in Hartselle, AL. After helping lead the Tigers to the Class 6A State Championship in 2021 and 2022 (won the title), the outfielder once again was one of the centerpieces for a Hartselle team that reached the Elite 8 in Class 6A in 2023. Mizell, a former PBR Future Gamer and Super 60 attendee, posted video game numbers across the board offensively hitting .500 (64-128) on the season. In addition to his batting average, the senior recorded 16 doubles, two triples, 15 home runs, 58 RBIs, and walked 25 times. It was another stellar season for the Coleman Mizell, who has a chance to hear his name called in the upcoming 2023 MLB Draft.
