HUNTSVILLE, AL - The Huntsville Preseason ID continued the 2026 Preseason Event Tour on Monday, January 5th at Clutch Performance in Huntsville, AL. This open event featured prospects from the 2026-2030 classes and featured a pro-style workout for all players in attendance. Position players participated in batting practice with full data capture through TrackMan, Blast Motion, Vizual Edge testing, and more, while pitchers threw simulated bullpens to generate detailed metrics including velocity, spin rate, and horizontal and vertical movement. Several familiar names continued to build on prior performances, while a number of new prospects emerged, making a strong first impression and firmly putting themselves on our radar.

Continuing our post-event coverage, we dive into some of the top overall performers at the showcase. Be sure to check back throughout the week, as additional leaderboards and individual scouting reports on each participant will be released.

+ OF/LHP Hudson Oliver (Hoover, 2028), the No. 1 prospect in Alabama’s 2028 class and ranked No. 17 nationally, showed why he sits at the top of the board with a pristine athletic profile at 5-foot-11, 170 pounds and plenty of room to continue adding strength. He posted elite athletic metrics, including a 1.59-second 10-yard split and a 3.75-second 30-yard dash, underscoring his quick-twitch ability and overall explosiveness. At the plate, he worked with a smooth left-handed swing and a gap-to-gap approach, pairing present bat speed with quick hands and advanced barrel control. The impact showed up clearly in the data, as he recorded a 100.0 mph max exit velocity, 95.6 mph average EV, and drove balls up to 389 feet, highlighting the upside as his already high-end tools continue to progress.

+ SS Kamrin Jenkins (Bob Jones, 2026) made a loud first impression in his first look in the state, transferring in just days before the event and turning in a true coming-out performance. He showed a really athletic profile with strength throughout a 6-foot-1, 197-pound frame, pairing confidence and presence with an advanced offensive approach. At the plate, he showed easy juice with an upward path and direct move to contact, flashing plus bat speed and hand speed while consistently looking to elevate and impact the baseball. Swinging with wood, he posted one of the top offensive marks of the event, finishing second in max distance at 373 feet while registering a 102.8 mph max exit velocity, and carried himself with a pro-like demeanor and visible swagger throughout the workout. He’s set to head to the Super 60 in February amongst some of the other top MLB Draft prospects in the country.

+ RHP Aiden Kantmann (Bob Jones, 2027) showed live-arm traits in a recent move to pitching, despite limited experience on the mound. Working primarily from the stretch, he showed quick, athletic movements in the delivery with a loose, whippy arm action that allowed the fastball to jump out of the hand, topping at 89.1 mph with good life. He showed two distinct breaking balls, featuring a cutter at 82–83 mph with late horizontal bite and a curveball in the mid-70s that showed more downer shape. He also flashed a changeup at 80-81 mph with fading action, rounding out a promising four-pitch mix. The arm speed, movement quality, and present velocity make him a good arm to follow closely this spring as he continues to gain experience.

+ RHP Inman Carson (Oneonta, 2027) showed a strong, durable presence on the mound at 6-foot-2, 193 pounds, working from a high three-quarter arm slot with controlled intent. The fastball ranged 88-91 mph and topped at 92.0 mph, showing spin rates north of 2300 rpm with some arm-side life through the zone. He paired the heater with a slider at 76-78 mph that showed good tilt and sweeping action, giving him a reliable second offering. A low-80s changeup rounded out the arsenal, and as a former Prep Baseball Future Gamer from this past summer, he remains a name to watch closely heading into the spring.

+ 3B Braxton Williams (Sparkman, 2027) showed a projectable, physical look at 6-foot-1, 208 pounds, with a frame that should continue to add strength moving forward. A multi-year starter at the Class 7A level as an underclassman, he brings a true middle-of-the-order presence from the right side of the plate. At the plate, he flashed impressive quick hands with an upward barrel path, looking to lift and impact the baseball to the pull side, and the ball consistently jumped off the bat during BP. The impact was backed by the data, as he posted a 100.2 mph max exit velocity and ranked near the top of several Blast Motion statistical categories. The showing reinforced his status as a high-follow uncommitted bat in the 2027 class, with another productive spring in Class 7A well within reach.

+ OF/RHP Tristan Blalock (James Clemens, 2029) showed why he sits atop the 2029 class in Alabama and ranks No. 15 nationally, bringing a projectable 6-foot-2, 178-pound frame with present strength and more on the way. Though primarily a right-handed pitcher, he took a loud round of BP, showing controlled aggression in the right-handed swing with advanced pop for his age. He consistently barreled balls to the pull side, posting a 102.0 mph max exit velocity, an eye-opening mark for a freshman. The combination of impact at the plate and his primary role on the mound continues to cement him as a true two-way prospect with upside on both sides of the ball moving forward.

+ OF Trey Harville (Austin, 2028) showed an athletic, polished profile at 5-foot-9, 169 pounds, fitting the mold of a true top-of-the-order left-handed bat. He works with a direct-to-contact approach and a flat, level path, staying short through the zone from a slightly open stance while using a controlled leg kick to get back square. The offensive impact showed up in BP, as he posted a 97.5 mph max exit velocity, pairing bat-to-ball skill with emerging strength. A proven varsity performer who earned All-State honors as a freshman last spring, he also showed athleticism underway with a 3.93-second 30-yard dash, reinforcing his status as a high-follow bat in the 2028 class.

+ SS Micah Sigler (Bob Jones, 2028) showed an athletic look with a lean 5-foot-10, 161-pound frame and plenty of room to continue adding strength. He hits from an even stance from the right side, using a quick toe-tap trigger for timing and showing fluid movements with a controlled upward barrel path through the zone. The barrel feel stood out during BP, as he produced consistent contact with a line-drive approach throughout the round. The athleticism and bat control were backed by the data, with a 92.1 mph max exit velocity and a 3.76-second 30-yard dash, and he will be a name to follow closely this spring.

+ SS Greyson Wuis (Bob Jones, 2030) continued to trend upward with a 5-foot-8, 149-pound frame that has added nearly 20 pounds since this time last year, showing noticeable physical growth. Regarded as one of the top bats in his class, he showed advanced feel from the left side during BP, working from a relaxed, upright stance with a simple trigger that allowed the swing to sync up consistently. The barrel worked cleanly through the zone, staying on plane and producing steady line-drive contact throughout the round. The offensive feel translated to the metrics as he posted a 90.3 mph max exit velocity, and with continued development and physical maturation, he projects as a big-time follow over the next few years.

+ OF Sullivan Dwyer (Huntsville, 2029) showed advanced offensive feel for a young freshman, standing out with a polished right-handed bat and a high-contact approach. He lived on the barrel throughout his round of BP, working with a short, efficient path and quick hands that allowed him to repeat the swing and use the whole field consistently. Listed at 5-foot-8, 141 pounds, the physicality is still developing, but the skill set is advanced for his age and continues to show up in game-ready actions. The performance was backed by the data, as he posted a 89.4 mph max exit velocity and ran a 3.88-second 30-yard dash, making him an intriguing long-term follow as his body and tools continue to mature.

+ OF Joseph Haiges (Whitesburg Christian, 2027) showed an intriguing blend of athleticism and upside with a lean, wiry frame and impact potential on both sides of the ball. At the plate, he worked with an upward path through contact and a toe-tap trigger for timing, showing quick hands and present bat speed while working gap to gap during BP. The offensive impact showed up in the data, as he posted a 99.1 mph max exit velocity, highlighting strength gains that are continuing to come. He also showed athleticism underway with a 3.95-second 30-yard dash, and flashed two-way upside on the mound by touching 83.4 mph with the fastball, making him a name to keep tabs on as he continues to develop.

+ INF Neel Patel (Florence, 2026) brought a polished offensive look with a strong, compact frame and an approach built for consistent contact. Listed at 5-foot-9, 183 pounds, he worked from a rhythmic, efficient operation with a simple load, allowing him to control the barrel cleanly through the zone. The swing produced a steady stream of firm, line-drive contact to all fields during BP, showing feel for the barrel and present bat speed. He backed it up with a 96.3 mph max exit velocity, positioning himself as a quality uncommitted senior and a name to follow closely this spring.

+ SS/RHP Evan Young (Huntsville, 2029) flashed intriguing two-way potential with a lean, projectable 6-foot, 167-pound frame and upside on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he hits from a balanced, slightly crouched setup with a lower handset, showing advanced bat speed for his age and staying on plane through contact during BP. He showed emerging strength in the barrel, driving balls to the pull-side gap and posting a 88.8 mph max exit velocity, with more power likely coming as he continues to mature physically. On the mound, he showed quality metrics, working with a fastball that featured sinking action and touched 82.1 mph, pairing it with a 73–74 mph curveball spinning north of 2400 rpm, while also flashing a low-70s changeup, making him a young two-way name to monitor moving forward.
