+ 3B/RHP Caleb Barnett (Mountain Brook, 2025) has a chance to hear his name called fairly early this year's upcoming MLB Draft after a standout performance at the Super 60 and consistent showings throughout the first few weeks of the spring season. Measuring in at 6-foot-6, 212-pounds, the Alabama recruit and top-ranked prospect in Alabama's 2025 class boasts a long-levered, projectable frame that is hardly filling out the uniform right now with future strength obvious. With such a high prospect status, Barnett doesn't see much to hit on a nightly basis, but the right-hander is still able to make an impact when the time to pitch to him comes. After a walk and a couple pull-side groundouts and seeing heavy off-speed in his first few at-bats, Barnett laced a missile into the back-side gap for a run-scoring double that scored his younger brother in his most noteworthy at-bat. The swing really syncs up and has the ability to control the long levers well throughout while creating quality extension out front. The barrel works cleanly through the zone on a mostly upward path that produces a sky-high power ceiling. Obvious present bat speed and is fairly athletic and rangy for his size. Took quality swing decisions throughout the night against a low-80s southpaw that mixed it up well. Finished going 1-for-3 with a double, RBI, and a walk at the plate.
