Future Games Returnee Added

PBR Future Games is set for July 29th-Aug 1st

Prep Baseball Report's one-of-a-kind event will feature the best uncommitted 2022 prospects and select 2023 prospects from our 40-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will take place on Wednesday, July 29th through Saturday, August 1st at LakePoint in Cartersville, GA. 

The Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for Class of 2022 prospects and select 2023 prospects. Last year, more than 320 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are subscribed by more than 800 colleges and pro scouts.

Players will also receive maximum visibility from college coaches all over the country, in addition to being promoted through the Prep Baseball Report multimedia platforms. 

Each state team will play three games. On Wednesday, all position players will be put through a showcase workout in which they will run 60s, take batting practice and be evaluated at their primary position. 

'22 SS Nick Arias of Tucson High School is your first returnee to Team Arizona.

Nick Arias was a member of a solid group of players that participated in the PBR Future Games in 2019. Arias will once again bring his talents back to Cartersville, GA this year. Although, we wouldn't at all be surprised if a strong high school season leads to a strong college program locking him down early before this prestigious event at the end of the summer. Arias solidified his spot on this year's roster with a standout performance at the PBR Preseason All-State Games at Arizona State a couple weeks back. Sporting a more defined frame than even back in the fall, he showed good actions across the board. He plays the game faster than his 7.47 60-yard dash time would suggest. He hits from a simple wide base with small stride, looking to back-spin the baseball with a slightly downward swing path. He backed up his round of BP in the showcase with a couple of loud LD singles in our games. He plays an easy & confident SS with an arm that plays at 88mph arm strength across the diamond. We haven't seen him throw on the mound at an event in a while but have seen him run his FB into the mid to upper 80's in the past. His knowledge of the games shows with his ability to make positive adjustments every time out. Arias has earned his spot back in Georgia this summer and should continue to be a strong two-way prospect to follow over course of the spring & summer.
