The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

With a lineup/pitching staff that is going to feature so many new faces in key places we are going to lean on the culture that has been built in this program, plus the leadership of that group who is returning to guide the new players in the start of the season. If they new guys can quickly perform to their potential and the returners take steps forward also we have a chance to make another run into the playoffs in 2025. - Coach Edman

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

The Torrey's lost multiple key players due to graduation and transfers. Even with that, they return multiple key players including Cal commit Jackson Norum, Josh Rock and Jamie Onaitis. All three will get innings on the mound and at-bats at the top of the lineup. This core of three have the varsity  experience that can help lead an overall young team. Underclassmen stepping into the lineup and performing is essential to this teams success.
