On top of the weather problems always relevant to Colorado spring sports, particularly in baseball, last week featured a series of lockdowns and days off for entire districts triggered by the FBI pursuing a Florida teenager who apparently was “infatuated” with the Columbine Massacre that marked 20 years on Saturday.

As a result, dozens of schools had to re-schedule games.

Safety first, play ball later, no matter how ridiculous it may appear.
